Indian troops severely thrash people, ransack houses in Pulwama

Srinagar, July 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and other Hurriyat leaders and organisations extending Eid greetings to the Muslims across the world have asked the Kashmiri people to take care of the families of martyrs and detainees on this auspicious occasion.

The APHC General Secretary, Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Eid-ul-Adha was being celebrated in occupied Kashmir, this year, at a time when the anti-Kashmir and communal forces were engaged in vicious attempts to change the Muslim identity and disputed status of the territory. He said India has turned occupied Kashmir into a big jail on the occasion of this holy festival while ban has already been imposed on Eid prayers and mosques and shrines have been locked. »

Islamabad, July 31 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, felicitating the Muslims across the world and parents and families of Kashmiri martyrs on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha has prayed for Kashmiris’ early success in their struggle to get freedom from the Indian subjugation.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in his Eid message in Islamabad paid tributes to the Muslims for performing Haj and offering sacrifices of animals according to the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and prayed to Allah for an early recovery of all patients from COVID-19. »

Islamabad, July 31 (KMS): Senior Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front, Altaf Hussain Wani, extending heartfelt greetings to Muslim Ummah, has appealed the Kashmiri people to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha with austerity and take care of less-privileged segment of the society.

In his statement in Islamabad said, the true spirit of Eid-ul-Adha lies in sharing and caring for the less-privileged and poor people who deserve to be remembered and supported on this auspicious occasion.

Referring to the victims of Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory, he said, there are thousands of orphans, families of martyrs and jailed Hurriyat activists, who really deserve to be supported. »

Srinagar, July 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the detention of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, under draconian law Public Safety Act (PSA), was on Friday extended by three more months.

In a brief order, the district magistrate of Srinagar handed over the continuation of her custody at her residence, hours before her present term under the PSA was to expire. »

Srinagar, July 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have granted over four lakh domicile certificates in a little over a month in the territory.

It is widely believed that majority of these four lakh domicile certificates might have been issued to non-local Hindus. Pertinently, the process of issuing domicile certificates in occupied Kashmir started on June 27.
“So far, over four lakhs domicile certificates have been granted to the applicants. Though a period of 15 days has been fixed for issuing a certificate to an applicant, yet we have asked all revenue officers, including Tehsildars, to complete the process within two days,” Pawan Kotwal, Principal Secretary, Revenue Department J&K was quoted by Chandigarh-based The Tribune as having said. »

New Delhi, July 31 (KMS): India has designated 44 new officers to seize land and properties of pro-freedom youth and activists under the black law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), in occupied Kashmir.

Reports appearing in the media said that India had decided to take stern action against the Kashmiri people who are directly or indirectly involved in pro-freedom activities. In this regard, the reports said, Indian Home Ministry has decided to take immediate steps for execution of the UAPA, which was passed by the Indian parliament to suppress the freedom struggles. »

Islamabad, July 31 (KMS): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the people of occupied Kashmir have been facing immense difficulties, pain and persecution under the continued military siege for the last one year.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Friday, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that on 5th August, last year, Modi government launched demographic apartheid in occupied Kashmir and divided the territory into two union territories. He said that Indian government tried to divide the Kashmiri people through this illegal act. »
