Srinagar, July 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, posters have appeared in Srinagar and adjoining areas to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of prominent Kashmiri mujahid commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani and other martyrs.

Burhan Wani was extra judicially killed by Indian troops in Kukernag area of Islamabad on 8th of July in 2016. The posters were pasted by a youth organization, Muzahmati Youth League. »

Srinagar, July 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir and the Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi have strongly condemned the growing state terrorism by Indian troops.

Javaid Ahmad Mir in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Kashmiri dispute was one of the old disputes in the United Nations but international community has been turning a blind eye towards the Kashmiri people for the last seven decades.

He said that India wanted to suppress the peaceful voice of Kashmiris through military might but would never succeed in its nefarious designs. He said the people of the territory would continue their struggle till its logical conclusion. Mir paid Rich tributes to Kashmiri freedom fighters who has been Given hot blood only for freedom. »

New Delhi, July 05 (KMS): A majority of the retired Indian Army soldiers and officers belonging to Gorkha and Valmiki community have been issued domicile certificates of occupied Jammu and Kashmir by the Modi-led fascist regime in India.

In the past one week, over 6,600 applicants from the Gorkha community have received the document which allows them to buy property, acquire land and apply for jobs in the territory.

Vijay Kumar Sharma, additional deputy commissioner (Revenue) Jammu said, “More than 5,900 certificates have already been issued,” as reported by the Indian media. »

Modi regime has granted IOK domicile to thousands of Indians, says report

Srinagar, July 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, unrelenting military siege and crippling lockdown imposed by the fascist Modi government of India on August 5, last year, have completed 11 months, today.

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, said, the life of Kashmiris has been made a miserable by the Indian authorities since New Delhi illegally abrogated Article 370 of its constitution on August 5, 2019, to revoke the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. The move, it added, was aimed at snatching away the identity of the Kashmiris through changing the Muslim-majority status of the occupied territory into a minority. »

Jammu, July 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a meeting of the intellectuals and socio-political activists from the Jammu region was organised at Thanamandi, Rajouri, to discuss the prevailing socio-political situation.

The brain-storming session, chaired by the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem, condemned the conspiracies being hatched by India to change the demographic character of Kashmir and snatch away the natural resources from the state subjects. »

Patiala, India, July 05 (KMS): Taking at dig at Indian government for terming the nine Sikhs associated with the Khalistan struggle as “terrorists”, the Dal Khalsa and the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) have asked the Indian home ministry to rectify its error.

Mumbai, July 05 (KMS): Indian journalist and writer, Rana Ayyub has received death and rape threats on social media from the Sangh Parivar extremists for speaking on Kashmir. She is also the author of the investigative book Gujarat Files: Anatomy of a Cover Up.

Sharing the screen shots of the threats by a user named Pranay Bhowmik, Rana Ayyub tweeted, “My timeline, my inbox is inundated with death and rape threats the last two days for speaking on Kashmir”. »

Srinagar, July 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man suffered injuries in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Pulwama district, today.

The explosion took place in Gongoo area of the district when Indian forces were passing through the area. The injured CRPF man has been identified as GD Pardeep Dass. »

Srinagar, July 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, two more persons died of coronavirus, today, taking the number of deaths due to the deadly disease in the territory to 130.

The victims include a 40-year-old man from Baramulla, who died at Chest Disease Hospital in Srinagar and a 70-year-old man from Islamabad district who passed away at Soura hospital in Srinagar. »

Srinagar, July 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, suspension of high-speed mobile internet has entered 12th month, yet the subscribers in the valley are compelled to pay for the services they aren’t able to use.

The largest service provider of 4G mobile internet in the Kashmir Valley is Reliance Jio, which, as per limited estimates, has earned over Rs 553 crore from the Kashmiris since August 2019.

Since the abrogation of Kashmir’s special status, over 30 lakh subscriber base that the Jio has in the occupied territory have paid around Rs 553 crore in bills and recharges without actually getting full services. »
