Srinagar, July 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, three Indian Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) members were killed in Bandipore district, today.

The Indian army sponsored person and BJP Bandipore leader, Sheikh Waseem Bari, his father and his brother were shot dead by unidentified gunmen outside their residence in Muslimabad area of the district.

The residence of Bari is located just opposite Bandipore Police Station. The doctors told media men that all the three were declared dead on their arrival to the hospital. »

Islamabad, July 08 (KMS): A protest demonstration was organized by APHC-AJK chapter on the fourth martyrdom anniversary of popular Kashmiri youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani in Islamabad, today.

The demonstration was led by Mohammad Farooq Rahmani. The protesters were carrying pictures of martyr Burhan Wani and placards and banners bearing pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. The participants raised slogans in favour of Kashmir’s freedom Indian illegal occupation over Jammu and Kashmir.

APHC-AJK leaders while addressing the participants on the occasion said that Burhan Wani was the great young leader of Kashmir freedom movement who infused a new spirit in the movement with his blood. They said that after the martyrdom of Burhan Wani, the freedom movement took a new turn and the international community started paying more attention to the Kashmir dispute. The leaders said that India was using brutal force to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle but would never succeed in its nefarious designs. »

Srinagar, July 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to popular youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani, on his 4th martyrdom anniversary, today.

Senior Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, in a statement from jail while paying tributes to the martyred youth leader said that Burhan’s sacrifice gave a new impetus to the freedom struggle. He appealed to the United Nations to stop India from issuing domicile certificates in the disputed territory.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Young Men’s League, Imtiyaz Reshi, in a statement in Srinagar while praying tributes to Burhan Wani and other martyrs said that they presented invaluable and exemplary sacrifices for the Kashmir cause. He hailing the spirit of Kashmiri people and said that they were committed to take the ongoing freedom movement to its logical conclusion. He also said that the Kashmiris would accomplish the mission of their martyrs despite all odds. »

1,237 Kashmiris martyred since Burhan’s killing


Islamabad, July 08 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world are observing, today, the 4th martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Wani, who was extra-judicially killed by Indian troops on this day in 2016.

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Wani, today, maintained that Burhan has become a symbol of freedom and courage for the Kashmiri people.

The report said that Burhan Wani was killed by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Kokernag area of Islamabad district on 8th July in 2016. It said that hundreds of thousands of people had attended his funeral to express their love and affection for him. Burhan’s brutal murder had sparked mass uprising in the occupied territory, that year, it said. »

Srinagar, July 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed, today, to mark the fourth martyrdom anniversary of popular Kashmiri youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani, and his two associates.

Call for the strike has been given by the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, and the All Parties Hurriyat Conference.

Burhan Wani along with his associates, Sartaj Ahmad and Parvez Ahmad was extra-judicially killed by Indian troops in Kokernag area of Islamabad district on this day in 2016.

Syed Ali Gilani in his tweets paid rich tributes to Burhan Wani and the martyrs of July 13, 1931. He asked the people to visit the families of the martyrs in their respective localities and express solidarity with them. He also urged people to observe complete strike on July 13 and pay homage to the martyrs by holding prayer meetings at martyrs’ graveyards across occupied Kashmir.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference is observing Youm–e-Istiqlal, today, to reiterate the Kashmiris’ resolve that they would continue their struggle for securing their right to self-determination through thick and thin.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities have deployed Indian troops in strength across the occupied territory to prevent people from staging anti-India demonstrations, today. The authorities have also suspended 2G internet service in Pulwama, Islamabad, Shopian, Kulgam and Sopore areas while high-speed 4G connectivity remains suspended in the entire occupied Kashmir since 5th August, last year, when Narendra Modi-led fascist government repealed the special status of the territory and placed it under military siege.

London, July 08 (KMS): Hundreds of British Kashmiris and Pakistanis observed Burhan Wani’s martyrdom anniversary by protesting outside the Indian High Commission in London against the atrocities committed by Indian forces against innocent civilians in occupied Kashmir.

The protesters who were belonging to various communities chanted slogans against India’s Modi government.

Raja Fahim Kayani, President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir, UK, on the occasion urged the international community to play its role in forcing India in lifting the inhuman curfew and other restrictions in occupied Kashmir. He also asked for imposing economical sanctions on India for involving in violating the universal declaration of human rights and the UN Security Council resolutions on Kashmir. He questioned why India was not permitting foreign observers to visit occupied Kashmir if everything was normal and it had nothing to hide from the outside the world. »

Srinagar, July 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a woman died due to novel coronavirus infection, taking the number of such of fatalities in the territory to 145.

The 36-year-old victim from Nehru Park area of Srinagar was suffering from multiple ailments and died at Soura Hospital after testing COVID-19 positive.

The latest fatality has taken overall tally of COVID-19 deaths in occupied Kashmir to 145. Out of these, 130 are from the Kashmir Valley, 14 from the Jammu division and one from Ladakh region. »

Islamabad, July 08 (KMS): Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider says India has suffered defeat against the Kashmiris’ resolve despite using all types of force.

Talking to Chairman Kashmir Committee Shehryar Afridi in Islamabad, he said the photo of the grandson of Bashir Ahmed after his killing has shaken the world.

The AJK Prime Minister said the Kashmiris have written unmatched stories of sacrifices in July, and this is a month of struggle. »

New York, July 08 (KMS): Pakistan has called on the United Nations to take immediate cognizant of Indian state sponsorship through terrorist mercenaries which is a major threat to security of Pakistan.

Speaking at virtual Counter Terrorism Week meeting in New York, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Munir Akram said India is co-opting terrorist groups and criminal organizations as guns for hire against Pakistan.

He said attack on Chinese Consulate in Karachi and more recently on Pakistan Stock Exchange are examples of such Indian sponsorship of terrorism in Pakistan. »

Rawalpindi, July 08 (KMS): Chairman of Parliament’s Special Committee on Kashmir Shehryar Khan Afridi has said that the world community will never allow India to materialise its plan to bring demographic changes in Indian-held Kashmir.

Addressing the participants of oath-taking ceremony of Corona Relief Tiger Force at Rawalpindi Arts Council, Afridi said that the Indian forces had increased targeting Azad Kashmiri population along Line of Control (LoC) under a strategy as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to shift media focus from humiliating defeat of Indian forces in Laddakh. »
