Srinagar, July 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the son of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman, Ashraf Sehrai has warned that the Indian government will be responsible if anything happens to his ailing father.

Rashid Sehrai, speaking to media in Srinagar about the arrest of his father, said, “Police came around 5:30am and asked for my father and took him along. Then I went to police station with medicines as he is suffering from many diseases and clothes later after the DGP through a tweet confirmed slapping draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) on him.

He added that the officials told him that the TeH Chairman had been lodged in Udhampur, Jammu.

Islamabad, July 13 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter organized a conference in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Muhammad Farooq Rahmani, today.

The conference was held in connection with the Kashmir Martyrs Day and its purpose was to pay tribute to the martyrs of July 13, 1931 who sacrificed their precious lives against the personal rule of Dogro imperialism. »

Srinagar, July 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations continued to pay rich tributes to the July 13 martyrs on their 89th martyrdom anniversary, today.

The Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem while addressing a function held in the memory of the martyrs in Jammu said that the supreme sacrifices made by the martyrs of 1931 had provided the very basis of the freedom struggle for Jammu and Kashmir. He said people in Jammu and Kashmir were facing the same oppression and suppression as in 1931. He reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue their peaceful political struggle till the achievement of their cherished goal. »

Srinagar, July 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu Kashmir has appreciated the statements of Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Army chief of Pakistan in which they reiterated the Pakistan’s resolve to continue moral, political and diplomatic support to the valiant people of Jammu Kashmir in their struggle for Self determination.

The Tehreek-e-Hurriyet in a statement issued in Srinagar thanked Pakistan for expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri people. »

Islamabad, July 13 (KMS): A protest demonstration was held outside the Indian High Commission on the occasion of Kashmir Martyrs’ Day in Islamabad, today.

The protest was organised by Jammu and Kashmir Right to Self-Determination Forum and Ittehad-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir.

A large number of people, including Hurriyat leaders, participated in the protest demonstration. The protesters on the occasion chanted slogans against Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir. »

Srinagar, July 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian media reported it was the first time since the Partition that no holiday and official functions were held to commemorate the Kashmir Martyrs’ Day on July 13, today.

Following the revocation of Article 370 on August 5, last year, India had issued a list of gazette holidays for the occupied territory, omitting July 13 from the list. »

Jammu, July 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, various Sikh organisations including Sikh Intellectuals Circle J&K, International Sikh Federation, Sikh Students Federation, Gurmat Taksal and Sikh Youths of J&K have paid rich tributes to martyrs of July 1931.

S. Narinder Singh Khalsa, Chairman of Sikh Intellectuals Circle J&K along with other Sikh leaders of the organisations, S.Harmanan Singh, S. Ranjit Singh, S. Amandip Singh Khalsa, S.Rajinder Singh, S.Devinder Singh, S. Amarjit Singh and S. Manjit Singh organized a special meeting to pay tributes to the martyrs of 1931. They said that the martyrs of 13th July 1931 laid the foundation of present indigenous Kashmir freedom struggle. »

In a post on social-networking website on the occasion of 89th Kashmir Martyrs Day, the minister paid tribute to courage of 22 sons of the valley who rendered their lives on this day in 1931 in the face of brutal Dogra forces.

He said that brave Kashmiris have regalvanized decades old struggle for right to self-determination, an inalienable right for which Kashmiris will continue to die for this day.
