Srinagar, July 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian Army’s 62 RR camped at Keller in Shopian killed three non-locals including a 13 year-old boy. Two of them had been working locally as masons, claimed a student from a nearby village and had worked in the locality for many years.

KMS sources said, a heavily armed military contingent swooped on a house in Amshipora in Shopian early morning and started attacking the house with heavy mortars claiming it housed what they claimed were “terrorists”. Neighbours could hear the screaming of the inmates holed inside amid cries they were not militants but the army continued their relentless destruction till the house was razed. »

Srinagar, July 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani has denounced the new housing policy by amending the Control of Building Operations Act and the J&K Development Act by the occupation authorities.

The authorities on Friday approved amendment to the Control of Building Operations Act, 1988 and the J&K Development Act, 1970 to allow notifying any areas in the territory as “strategic areas”. Under the new policy, the land on which existing camps/ cantonments of the Indian armed forces are located in various areas or where new camps/ cantonments they think is important can be notified as strategic areas and handed over to the forces. »

Srinagar, July 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed serious concern over the new construction policy approved by the occupation authorities paving way for the Indian armed forces to grab the Kashmiris’ land and carry out unhindered constructions and other related activities.

The authorities on Friday approved amendment to the Control of Building Operations Act, 1988 and the J&K Development Act, 1970 to allow notifying any areas in the territory as “strategic areas”. Under the new policy, the land on which existing camps/ cantonments of the Indian armed forces are located in various areas or where new camps/ cantonments they think is important can be notified as strategic areas and handed over to the forces. Till now, many camps of Indian forces were based in private properties like orchards, houses, government properties and are thus temporary. An entire area can now be designated as strategic area which can be taken over and developed for the use of armed forces and their families. »

Srinagar, July 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat Forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has said that 19th July is of special significance in the history of Jammu and Kashmir.

On this day in 1947, true representatives of Kashmiris unanimously passed the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan during a meeting of the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference in Srinagar.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the resolution called for the accession of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan in view of its existing religious, geographical, cultural and economic proximity to Pakistan and aspirations of millions of Kashmiri Muslims. »

On the 19th July in 1947, the real representatives of the Kashmiris gathered under the banner of the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference in Srinagar and passed the resolution of Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan and associated their future with Pakistan. »

Srinagar, July 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three more Kashmiri youth in Shopian district, today, raising the number of the youth martyred in the territory to seven since Thursday.

The troops martyred the three youth during a cordon and search operation in Amshipora of Shopian district. The operation continued till last reports came in. »
