Islamabad, July 31 (KMS): APHC-AJK member and Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement (JKEM), Imtiaz Wani, has said that Indian troops have intensified their atrocities in occupied Kashmir and are killing innocent youth during so-called cordon and search operations.
Imtiaz Wani in a statement issued in Islamabad said that India had besieged eight million Kashmiris for the last one year due to which they were facing severe problems. India has been steadily stepping up its state terrorism in occupied Kashmir, he added.
He condemned the unabated killing spree unleashed by Indian troops in the territory. He paid rich tributes to the martyred youth and said that killings, arrests and other Indian atrocities could not suppress the freedom sentiment of the Kashmiri people. He said that the Kashmiris would continue their liberation movement till it reached its logical conclusion.
Imtiaz Wani urged India to give up its oppressive policy on Kashmir and resolve the Kashmir dispute by giving the Kashmiris their right to self-determination guaranteed by the United Nations and the international community.
He lamented that Indian troops were committing genocide of Kashmiris to turn Kashmir’s Muslim majority into a minority and urged the world powers to take notice of the nefarious designs of India.
Imtiaz Wani said that Kashmiris would observe Black Day on August 5 against the cruel act of India of repealing special status of occupied Kashmir and putting it under military siege. He said that India had kept thousands of Kashmiri youth in detention centers while Jammu and Kashmir had been converted into a big prison.
He also appealed to the people of occupied Kashmir not to forget the martyrs and prisoners and spend some time with their families to express solidarity with them.
