Islamabad, July 13 (KMS): Pakistan Armed Forces saluted the brave Kashmiris, today, on July 13, which is observed as the Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, every year, on both sides of the Line of Control and in all major capitals of the world.

In a message on social networking site, Twitter DG ISPR said that Kashmir Martyrs’ Day is reminiscent of the utmost price paid for freedom by brave the Kashmiris. »

Srinagar, July 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Islamabad district, today, taking the toll to five in the past twenty-four hours in the territory.

The youth were killed by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Srigufwara area of the district. Earlier, a woman was also injured in firing by troops in the same area.

Srinagar, July 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested senior Hurriyat leader and Chariman of Tehreek Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai and booked him under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) in Srinagar, today.

Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai was arrested from his residence at Baghaat Barzulla in Srinagar in the wee hours of Sunday.

“Authorities have booked Ashraf Sehrai under Public Safety Act”, a top police officer confirmed to media men in Srinagar.

Sehrai’s son, Junaid Sehrai, was martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation along with an associate at Nawakadal area of Srinagar recently. »

Call for the strike has been given by the veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat forum to reiterate the urgent need for a peaceful and just resolution of the Kashmir dispute and to put an end to repression against the Kashmiri people and Hurriyat leaders. »

Srinagar, July 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people commemorate 13th of July as Martyr’s Day every year to reaffirm their resolve to continue pursuing the path shown by the martyrs until the liberation of their motherland from Indian yoke.

According to a report released by Kashmir Media Service on the eve of Martyr’s Day, 13th July 1931 is a significant day due to the fact that it was the first occasion when the Kashmiris rose en masse against the oppression of the Dogra Maharaja. On this day 22 Kashmiris were shot dead outside the Srinagar Central Jail by the troops of Dogra Maharaja. The victims had gathered along with thousands of Kashmiris in the jail premises to attend the court proceedings against one, Abdul Qadeer, who had asked the Kashmiri people to rise against the tyrannical Dogra rule. This massacre is the blackest chapter in the history of Dogra regime. The Dogra period is considered to be the worst phase of the Kashmir history on account of cruelties meted out to the Muslims. »

Srinagar, July 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has expressed serious concern over the fearful atmosphere created by the Indian authorities through arrests and house raids on the residences of APHC leaders and activists in the territory.

APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar also condemned nocturnal raids and arrest of innocent youths and use of brute force during cordon and search operations. Srinagar, July 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, illegally detained Hurriyet leaders including Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Massarat Aalam Butt and others have been kept in very pathetic conditions in Delhi’s Tihar Jail amid rising cases of COVID-19 in the jail.

Other Kashmiri political detainees who are languishing in the Indian jail include Mian Abdul Qayoom, Syeda Aasiya Andrabi, Fehmeeda Sofi, Naheeda Nasreena, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Merajuddin Kalwal, Peer Saifullah Khan and others. All the Kashmiri detainees are seriously ill and are without any proper medical facility. »
