Srinagar, July 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Ittehad-e-Islami has reiterated the Kashmiris’ commitment to continue the mission of the martyrs of 13 July 1931 and other Kashmiri martyrs.

The resolve was expressed at a gathering held in Islamabad town, which was presided over by Ittehad-e-Islami Vice President Ghulam Muhammad Khaki to pay glowing tributes to martyrs of 13 July 1931. Addressing on the occasion, Ghulam Muhammad Khaki said the martyrs of Kashmir are the light and path-finders of the freedom movement. He said the freedom movement would be taken to its logical conclusion. »

Islamabad, July 12 (KMS): The Convener of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Mohammad Safi has said that arrest and martyrdom is an honour for those who strive for a just cause.

Ghulam Mohammad Safi talking to a large number of his party activists on the recent raids, cordon and search operations, indiscriminate use of draconian Public Safety Act and detentions of innocent men, women and children, said that when presence of hundreds of thousands of occupation troops failed on ground, India was left with no option but to do what Natzis did. »

Islamabad, July 12 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of July 13.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad said, “Undoubtedly, in our odyssey of political struggle, 13 July 1931 can be described as a cornerstone of an edifice and milestone for Jammu and Kashmir’s odyssey for freedom and political emancipation.”

The 22 young men of Kashmir, he said, sacrificed their blooming youth and achieved martyrdom for a great and sacred cause bringing the destination nearer. »

London, Brussels, July 12 (KMS): The executive members of Organisation of Kashmir Coalition (OKC), Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl and Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo have paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of July 13, 1931, who laid down their lives for authoring a glorious future for the people of Kashmir.

On July 13 in 1931, the troops of Dogra Maharaja had killed 22 Kashmiris, one after the other, outside the Central Jail in Srinagar during the court proceedings against one Abdul Qadeer who had asked the Kashmiri people to defy the Dogra rule. »

Islamabad, July 12 (KMS): APHC leader and Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), Abdul Majeed Malik has said that India has intensified its state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

Abdul Majeed Malik addressing a meeting in Islamabad said that the authorities were arresting Hurriyat leaders under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA). He said that Hurriyat leader, Farooq Tawheedi was arrested the other day and sent to police station while his son had been shifted to some unknown place. »

Srinagar, July 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Baramulla district, today.

The operation was jointly launched by Indian army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Reban area of Sopore.

Police claimed that as the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot in the area, the hiding militants fired upon the forces’ personnel triggering an encounter. The police added that no casualties have been reported so far. »

Srinagar, July 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, four more deaths due to COVID-19 were reported, today, taking the fatality count due to the virus in the territory to 176.

All these deaths were reported from Srinagar’s Soura hospital. The victims include a 60-year-old man from Gulab Bagh, Srinagar, 55-year-old woman from Kangan, Ganderbal, and two women — an 80-year-old and 47-year-old — from Kulgam district of south Kashmir.

With these fatalities, 158 people in the Kashmir Valley, 17 in Jammu division and one in Ladakh region have died so far due to the novel coronavirus. »

Srinagar, July 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Kupwara district, today.

Tthe troops martyred the youth during a military operation in Handwara area of the district. The operation continued till last reports came in.

Cordon and search operations by the troops are also going on in Bandipora, Pulwama, Rajouri and Kishtwar districts of the occupied territory. »
