India's search operations disrupt and destroy Kashmiri livesJammu, July 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Rajouri district.

The troops martyred two youth and injured another during a military operation in Nowshehra area of the district. The operation continued till last reports came in.

Meanwhile, the troops launched a cordon and search operation at Warpora in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The troops cordoned off the area and launched house-to-house searches.

Islamabad, July 29 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJK chapter has expressed concern over the attempts being made by India to change the demography of occupied Kashmir, atrocities and arbitrary arrests of Hurriyat leaders, activists and youth in the territory.

The APHC-AJK at a meeting in Islamabad said that the Kashmir dispute had center-staged in the world as a result of unparalleled sacrifices offered by the Kashmiri people for the freedom cause, and the world is pushing for a solution to the issue. The meeting was held under the chair of Convener Mustafa Muhammad Hussain at APHC office in Islamabad. »

Srinagar, July 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, authorities informed the Indian Supreme Court, today, that they had decided to release the Kashmir Bar Association President, Mian Abdul Qayoom on the condition that he would not visit Kashmir till August 7 and that he would not issue any statements. His current detention is coming to an end on the day.

Mian Qayoom was arrested by the Indian authorities following the abrogation of Art 370 in August last year and later booked under the black law Public Safety Act (PSA). »

Islamabad, July 29 (KMS): Pakistan has strongly condemned restrictions imposed by Indian authorities on Eid-ul-Azha prayers in Indian occupied Kashmir (IOK).

In a statement issued in Islamabad, Foreign Office said that imposition of restrictions on prayers on one of the most important days of the Islamic calendar represents complete disrespect by Modi government for the sentiments of the Muslims of IOK. »

Srinagar, July 29 (KMS): At 75 years old, Zareef Ahmad Zareef has been witness to several major events that have shaped Indian held Kashmir — for the worse, he says — since 1947.

Now, the historian and poet worries for the future of Kashmir’s culture and its people, after India passed a new law in May that allows non-locals to become permanent residents of the Muslim-majority territory.

“Our Kashmir is a garden. The new laws have thrown the doors open for plunderers to ruin it,” said Zareef in a phone interview from Srinagar, Kashmir’s main city. »

Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has expressed serious concern over India’s plans to grab the Kashmiris’ lands and hand them over to the Indian forces to use them for construction of new camps on the Israeli pattern.

Syed Ali Gilani in a tweet said, “The recent amendment to the Control of Building Operations Act, 1988 and the J&K Development Act 1970 through which land grab for the occupational forces is sought to be facilitated, is a tactic straight out of the Israeli occupation play book. Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): Indian Home Minister Amit Shah has appointed 44 new officers to seize land and properties of pro-freedom youth and activists under the black law, UAPA Act, in occupied Kashmir.

Reports appearing in the local press said that India had decided to take stern action against the Kashmiri people who are directly or indirectly involved in pro-freedom activities. Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that India was introducing one after another laws after August 2019 to accelerate the process of demographic change in the territory.

The forum in a statement issued in Srinagar said, after the introduction of domicile law, new diktats are being issued to usurp the land and livelihood of the people. Changing the demographic structure of Kashmir is against the UN resolutions on Kashmir and international law, the statement added. »
