Srinagar, August 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has reiterated its call for Youm e Istehsal on August 5 and appealed for a complete strike on the day to reaffirm the resolve of fighting illegal and illegitimate rule of New Delhi in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

kashmir jammu indian securitySrinagar, Aug 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian authorities have further intensified restrictions in the Kashmir valley ahead of August 5, which will be observed as Yaum-e-Istehsal across the Line of Control and the world over on Wednesday.

There were already strict restrictions in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which were increased on Eidul Azha and now they have been further tightened two days ahead of the completion of one year of the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status by the fascist Modi government of India on August 5, last year.

The authorities sealed most of the roads and market places and announcements are being made on loudspeakers wherein people are being asked to stay indoors. »

Srinagar, August 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, unrelenting military siege and crippling lockdown imposed by the fascist Modi government of India on August 5, last year, have almost completed a whole year.

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, revealed that Indian troops had martyred 214 Kashmiris including 4 women and 10 young boys during the period. It said that at least 1390 people were critically injured due to the use of brute force by Indian troops on peaceful demonstrators and mourners in the territory. The killings since August 5, 2019 have been higher than those in 2011, 2012, 2013,2014, 2015 and 2019.

The report said, most of the victims were killed in fake encounters during cordon and search operations in the length and breadth of the territory. It said, youth are picked up from houses and then eliminated after falsely labeled as mujahideen or overground workers.

Islamabad, August 03 (KMS): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir are not alone in their just struggle for right to self-determination.

New Delhi, August 03 (KMS): Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, President of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has claimed that the internet restrictions imposed in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir since 5th August, last year, and then the military siege, have caused an economic loss of Rs 40,000 crore in the Valley alone, and that more than five lakh people across sectors are now jobless.

Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad told media in New Delhi that the industries hit the hardest by the internet restrictions were tourism, transport and handicrafts. »

Srinagar, August 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, it has been four months but the Indian authorities are yet to pay the hotels which were used for quarantine of COVID-19 patients and suspects.

The authorities owe more than 500 million to the hoteliers, who have been under financial distress for a year now. Their hotels were shut last year when India asked all tourists to leave Kashmir days before abrogating Article 370 on August 5, 2019.

Abdul Wahid, president of Kashmir Hotel and Restaurant Owners Federation, told media that the authorities used the services of 144 hotels for about two months to house Covid suspects. None of these hotels, he said, has been paid.

“We offered our hotels at a time when the administration was not sure how to respond to the COVID pandemic. On their word we agreed to provide our services, but they have not kept their word,” he said. »

Srinagar, August 3 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian soldier was abducted and his vehicle was set ablaze in Kulgam district.

The vehicle of the Indian Territorial Army (TA) was intercepted and abducted by unknown persons and was later burnt down near Damhal Hanjipora area of the district.

A senior police officer while confirming the incident said that searches have been launched to trace out the abducted soldier. “Indian forces along with police personnel are on the job to find out the abducted soldier,” he added.

Srinagar, August 03 (KMS): In order to close the doors of external world on the Kashmiri people and restrict them to the world’s biggest jail of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir as a new victimization tool, New Delhi has decided to profile each and every person.

As per the decision, Indian police would be tasked with the maintenance of the database of such Kashmiri people. The police would verify antecedents of such Kashmiri families.

“Those who are here [IIOJK] will be called to police stations for getting details whereas those who are abroad, their families will be asked to share details as needed,” a senior official told media in Srinagar. »
