Curfew, curbs further intensified in IIOJK

Srinagar, August 04 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control, in Pakistan and the world over will mark August 5, tomorrow, as Yaum-e-Istehsal, to denounce illegal, immoral and unconstitutional step, which New Delhi took on this day in 2019 to strip Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir of its special status.

The people of Kashmir would observe complete shutdown on the day, call for which has been given by the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani and supported by almost all pro-freedom leaders and organizations. Kashmiris living abroad would assemble outside Indian embassies in large number in all major capitals of the world on the day and forcefully record their protest against the Indian actions. Anthems of freedom would be played in the mosques of the territory. »

Occupied KashmirNew York, August 04 (KMS): The New York based global human rights watchdog, Human Rights Watch, has said, Indian authorities continue to impose harsh and discriminatory restrictions on Muslim-majority areas in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, one year after the revocation of its constitutional status on August 5, 2019.

The Human Rights Watch in a statement issued in New York, today, said, “…unwarranted restraints on the rights to free speech, access to information, health care, and education have been intensified by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On August 3, 2019, the HRW said, Indian authorities imposed broad restrictions on freedom of movement, banned public meetings, shut down telecommunication services and educational institutions, and detained thousands of people with critics being threatened with arrest, while access to the internet is limited. »

Kargil, August 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Kargil will observe a protest strike on Wednesday (5th of August) against its separation from Jammu and Kashmir and repeal of special status of Kashmir by Modi government on that day, last year.

Islamabad, August 04 (KMS): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday unveiled the new political map of Pakistan in which Jammu and Kashmir has been included and made part of the country.

Addressing the media, the prime minister said, “Today is a historic day for the country.” He added that the release of new map opposes India’s August 5 move.

Imran maintained, “Jammu Kashmir has been included in the territory of Pakistan and the map released will now be the new map of the country.” »

Srinagar, August 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian authorities have started the process of terminating local employees from their services the fake charge of being involved in anti-India activities.

As per sources the authorities have completed a list of such 1000 employees. The employees have been charged promoting anti-India hatred and assailing New Delhi’s decision of August 5 on social networking sites including WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter.

The sources said that around 200 officers from civil and police departments were also charged with having links with pro-freedom circles and a legal action is pending against them. They said the authorities are now collecting evidences against these employees and soon a big chunk of government officers and other employees will be terminated from their services. »

HR abuses in disputed region have reached ‘unacceptable level’

Ankara, August 04 (KMS): A senior Turkish lawmaker, Hakan Cavusoglu, on Tuesday said that the systematic human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir threatened regional peace.

Hakan Cavusoglu, head of the Turkish parliament’s committee on human rights, in a statement said, “The change of constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir, in addition to this systematic and massive rights violations, poses a big threat to regional peace.”

Human rights violations in the disputed region have reached “an unacceptable level”, he said. He called upon all rights defenders to make an effort to end the violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. »

Islamabad, August 04 (KMS): Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, has urged the international community to play its due role in holding India accountable for its continuing illegal actions and crimes against the Kashmiri people.

In his letter addressed to the Speakers and Presiding Officers of 188 national parliaments around the world, Asad Qaiser once again stressed the need for peaceful and just resolution of the longstanding Kashmir dispute between the two neighboring countries through a free and impartial plebiscite. »

Islamabad, August 04 (KMS): President, Dr Arif Alvi, has called a special session of the Senate on August 5 to reiterate Pakistan’s resolve and commitment to the Kashmir cause and to raise voice against continued Indian atrocities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The session will commence at 10.30am on Wednesday and will be held on a single point agenda on Kashmir, according to a statement issued by the Senate Secretariat on Tuesday. The session will also urge international community to exert pressure on India to stop its hostilities in the region. »
