BJP activist shot at in Budgam

Srinagar, August 09 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, unidentified gunmen, today, fired upon a BJP activist in Ompora area of Budgam district.

The BJP activist was identified as Abdul Hameed Najar, son of Jamal Najar a resident of Ompora Moheindpora. He was on morning walk when the unknown men fired upon him near railway station, leaving him injured

He has received bullet injuries in abdomen and has been shifted to SMHS hospital in Srinagar for treatment, an official said.

This is the third attack on a BJP leader or worker in last five days in the occupied territory. Earlier, a sarpanch was killed in South Kashmir’s Qazigund area on Thursday. Prior to this, a sarpanch was critically injured in an attack in Akhran village of Kulgam district. After these attacks, many BJP workers had announced their dissociation with the party.
