Islamabad, August 10 (KMS): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday urged the United Nations to play its rightful role in addressing the grave situation in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to ensure that Kashmiris exercise their right to self-determination as promised under UN Security Council resolutions.

Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed these views during a meeting with the United Nations General Assembly President-elect Volkan Bozkir who called on him in Islamabad. »

Islamabad, August 10 (KMS): The President-elect of the UN General Assembly, Volkan Bozkir has stressed that resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute is key to sustainable peace in South Asia.

Addressing a news conference along with Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad, today, he said that regional security should be maintained through political and diplomatic means. He said difficult challenges can be resolved peacefully through meaningful mutual engagements. »

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the three youth, martyred by Indian troops in a fake encounter, have been identified as the Kashmiri labourers of Rajouri district.

The youth identified as Abrar Gujar, Imtiyaz Gujar and Abrar Khan were killed by Indian Army’s 62 Rashtriya Rifles during a cordon and search operation at Keller Amshipora in Shopian district on July 18, 2020. »

Srinagar August 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, bureaucrat-turned-politician, Shah Faesal quit politics, today, resigning from the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) that he founded last year after quitting the civil services.

The JKPM in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Dr Shah Faesal had informed Executive Members of the party that he is not in a position to continue with political activities and wants to be freed from the responsibilities of the organization.” »

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani while paying tributes to Kashmiri martyred leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz on his 12th martyrdom anniversary has appealed  to the masses to give a befitting tribute to the heroes of the collective cause of freedom.

Syed Ali Gilani in a tweet message on the eve of the martyrdom anniversary of Sheikh Abdul Aziz reiterated that by paying tributes to the martyrs the Kashmiris would renew their pledge that the mission, they laid down their lives for, will live on and, come what may, shall take their struggle to its logical conclusion

Sheikh Abdul Aziz was shot dead by Indian troops during a march towards Muzaffarabad on August 11, 2008 against the India’s illegal occupation and economic blockade.

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed, tomorrow, to commemorate the 12th martyrdom anniversary of senior Hurriyat leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz.

Call for the strike has been given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz was shot dead by Indian troops while he was leading a march from Srinagar to the Line of Control on August 11, 2008 against the economic blockade of the Kashmir Valley by Hindu extremists of Jammu.

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Islamic Political Party Chairman, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash has said that all India’s illegal actions like abrogation of Article 370, issuance of domicile certificates to outsiders and choking space for political activities are aimed at changing the demographic status of the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash addressing a party meeting of executive body in Srinagar, today, expressed grave concern over the prevailing political uncertainty in Jammu and Kashmir, deteriorating condition of the Kashmiri prisoners in jails and denial of political space. Even the local media, he said, is threatened, intimidated and punished over reporting facts on the very worst political, social, economic, religious and human rights situation in the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, August 09 (KMS): Reports about the likelihood of new legislation to protect the identity, language and land of the people in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on the lines of many Indian states is mere deception and bluff as the revocation of the territory’s special status was a well-calculated move of the fascist Modi government of India to change the demographic composition of the territory.

According to a survey conducted by Kashmir Media Service, right from intellectuals to laymen everyone categorically stated that they could not expect anything good from the Modi regime, which even could not digest the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and revoked it on August 5, 2019 in negation of all international norms and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. »

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, attack on a worker of Hindu extremist organization, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Budgam, yesterday, has triggered mass resignations from party in the Kashmir Valley.

There were eight fresh resignations in 24 hours. About 17 BJP workers have resigned over the past month.

On Monday, police confirmed that Abdul Hamid Najar, who was shot at by attackers, had succumbed to injuries at a hospital. Najar was BJP leader and had joined the party a few months back.

He is the fourth BJP worker or office bearer who was targeted in the last one month. Earlier, BJP’s district president for Bandipora, Waseem Bari, his father and brother were shot dead by unknown attackers. »

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, five BJP workers including three of a family were killed in attacks in the span of one month.

These attacks have created ripples among BJP workers who are demanding security even as BJP Spokesperson Altaf Thakur is demanding safe accommodation in every district headquarters for BJP workers.

Last month on July 8, attackers shot dead Bandipora face of BJP Waseem Bari, his brother Umar Sheikh and father Bashir Sheikh. »
