5 BJP workers shot dead in IIOJK in one-month span

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, five BJP workers including three of a family were killed in attacks in the span of one month.

These attacks have created ripples among BJP workers who are demanding security even as BJP Spokesperson Altaf Thakur is demanding safe accommodation in every district headquarters for BJP workers.

Last month on July 8, attackers shot dead Bandipora face of BJP Waseem Bari, his brother Umar Sheikh and father Bashir Sheikh.

A month later on August 9, BJP worker Hamid Jamal Najar was gunned down in Ompara area of Budgam district.

On August 6, sarpanch Sajjad Khanday was killed in South Kashmir’s Qazigund area outside his residence. Another BJP sarpanch Arif Ahmad Shah was also critically wounded in the attack in Kulgam district in the first week of this month.
