APHC calls for protests after Friday prayers in IIOJK

Srinagar, August 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has appealed for peaceful protests after Friday prayers, tomorrow, against the blasphemous act by a BJP leader and hooliganism of cow vigilantes in Jammu region.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar, strongly condemning the blasphemous act and beating of two people by cow vigilantes in the Reasi district, termed such acts as reflection of fascist and communal mindset of Hinduvta forces. He said that these forces were doing this under a well-planned strategy to hurt religious sentiments of Muslims in the occupied territory and provoke them to retaliate and then punish them, physically, financially and politically. »

Srinagar, August 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that after failing to weaken the Kashmiris’ freedom sentiments, India is continuing with its cheap and immoral tactics to issue fake letters attributed to the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani to malign Hurriyat leadership and the freedom struggle.

Tthe APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the aim of releasing such fake letters is to defame the freedom struggle, drive a wedge between Syed Ali Gilani and Pakistan as well as creating chaos and uncertainty among the freedom-loving parties affiliated with the Hurriyat Conference. »

Photo Courtesy: Twitter/@RashidShafieJammu, August 20 (KMS): New Delhi based Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has moved the Indian Human Rights Commission, seeking a probe into last month’s killing of three youth in a fake encounter in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district.

The so-called encounter took place on July 18 when the Indian army claimed to have killed 3 alleged militants at Amshipora village in Shopian during a cordon and search operation. However, a little over two weeks thereafter, missing persons complaints were lodged in Rajouri area by the families of 3 youth. The families said that those killed in Shopian and then dubbed as militants were their wards who had gone there to work as labourers, adding that they went out of contact with them from July 17 late evening »

Srinagar, August 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the management of the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar has demanded immediate release of the unlawfully detained Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.

The demand was made when the grand mosque was recently thrown open after 150 days of siege imposed by the occupation authorities purportedly due to coronaviurs pandemic.

The management of the Jamia Masjid and the people, who had gathered to offer prayers on the occasion, interacted with several media persons and demanded immediate release of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq so that he could resume addressing the people from the pulpit of the Jamia Masjid »

Srinagar, August 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, more protests were held against sacrilegious remarks by BJP leader, Satpal Sharma in Reasi district of Jammu region.

The BJP leader used derogatory and offensive language against the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his blasphemous remarks were uploaded on social media by BJP zealots.

The residents of Chanapora area of Srinagar staged a protest against the derogatory remarks on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The protesters took out a peaceful protest rally and demanded strict action against the culprits involved in hurting the sentiments of Muslims. They also raised slogans in favour of Islam. »

Srinagar, August 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, activists of Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum (JKYSF) held a protest demonstration at Lal Chowk in Srinagar against the members of a Hindu extremist group, who made derogatory remarks against the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) in Jammu.

The protesters including the Coordinator of JKYSF, Tauseef Ahmed and other forum activists were carrying banners and placards, denouncing the blasphemous remarks. They demanded exemplary punishment for those involved in insulting sentiments of Muslims. »

Srinagar, August 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Zahoor Ahmed Butt, younger brother of prominent martyred Kashmiri leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt, was shifted from Islamabad District Hospital to Doda Jail in Jammu despite the fact that he has not yet recovered from coronavirus.

Islamabad, August 20 (KMS): APHC-AJK leader and Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), Abdul Majeed Malik has said that India wants to repeat the 1947-like situation in Jammu as the Hindu extremists have hatched a conspiracy to massacre Muslims of the region.

Srinagar, August 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the business community has expressed serious concerns after the authorities have directed them to pay the taxes till October 31, 2020.

The traders have said that they have already suffered huge losses and are not in a position to pay taxes at this juncture, saying that the deadline for paying the taxes should be extended till the ongoing situation improves on the ground.

The dealers in the occupied territory have expressed serious concern, stating that the pandemic had already pushed them towards starvation as all the business establishments remained closed and no business was conducted for nearly five months due to siege enforced by the authorities in wake of COVID-19. »

Paris, August 20 (KMS): The Embassy of Pakistan to France, in Paris has launched Run for Kashmir Tele-marathon Cellphone application and Roshan Digital Account.

Addressing the launching ceremony the Embassy of Pakistan in Paris, Pakistan Charge d’Affaires, M. Amjad Aziz Qazi explained the concept behind the app saying that virtual Run for Kashmir is a global humanitarian effort aimed at creating awareness about the atrocities being committed by the Indian occupation forces in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. »
