Srinagar, August 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, people staged forceful protest demonstrations in Srinagar and other areas against the blasphemous act by a BJP leader and hooliganism of cow vigilantes in the territory.

Call for the demonstrations was given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference. As soon as the Juma prayers culminated, people in large numbers took to the streets in Srinagar, Badgam, Ganderbal, Pulwama, Islamabad, Shopian, Kulgam, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora and other areas and held demonstrations and rallies against the sacrilegious remarks of the BJP stalwart, Satpal Sharma, and thrashing of the two Muslims by RSS hooligans. They raised high-pitched pro-Islam, pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. The protesters were holding banners and placards reading slogans like “Ready to die – But not ready to accept disrespect of our Prophet (PBUH)” and “Our Prophet (PBUH) our honour”. They demanded awarding of exemplary punishment to the culprit so that no one could dare to indulge in such profane acts in future. The protesters were led by Hurriyat leaders including Umar Aadil Dar.

The APHC spokesman in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the sacrilegious act and beating of two Muslim farmers by Hindu extremists in Reasi district. He said, such acts by the people affiliated with communal forces are part of a well-planned strategy to provoke Muslims to retaliate and find an excuse to carry out their massacre. »

Islamabad, August 21 (KMS): President Dr Arif Alvi Dr Alvi has urged the world to take notice of the continued military siege in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He was addressing the joint sitting of parliament on the start of new parliamentary year in Islamabad.

The President said that Pakistan rejected India’s move of August 5 last year aimed at changing the demography of Muslim majority Jammu and Kashmir Valley. »

Troops martyred 95,655 Kashmiris since Jan 1989

Srinagar, August 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism have martyred 95,655 Kashmiris since January 1989 till date.

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, today, said that these killings rendered 22,918 women widowed and 107,798 children orphaned. It said that the troops arrested 160,681 people during the period.

The report added that thousands of Kashmiris including Hurriyat leaders, political activists, human rights defenders, journalists and traders continue to remain detained in various jails of IIOJK and India. It pointed out that the troops molested 11,214 women and destroyed 110,345 houses and other structures during the last 31 years. It said hundreds of Kashmiris have lost their eyesight in one or both eyes due to the pellet guns used by Indian troops against peaceful protesters in the occupied territory. »

Condemns blasphemous remarks of BJP leader in IIOJK

Islamabad, August 21 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a protest demonstration outside the National Press Club in Islamabad, today, against the blasphemous remarks by a BJP leader, Satpal Sharma, in Reasi area of Jammu region in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Convener of APHC-AJK chapter, Mustafa Muhammad Hussain led the protest demonstration.

The protesters on the occasion chanted slogans against the BJP leader who used filthy language against Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

They said that no Muslim could tolerate disrespect for their beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and demanded exemplary punishment for the culprit. »

Srinagar, August 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the congregational Friday prayers were offered at the historic and central Jamia Masjid Srinagar and other mosques and shrines of the territory after a gap of 21 weeks due to COVID-19 pandemic.

As soon as the Azaan (call for prayer) echoed from the minarets of the Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, a large number of people including men and women rushed towards the grand mosque and offered the congregational Friday prayers observing all measures of physical distancing and other SOPs including wearing of face masks, being implemented by the Anjuman.

However, the people on the occasion missed the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who is under continued house arrest for more than a year now. »

Srinagar, August 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, former puppet Chief Minister and President of National Conference, Farooq Abdullah, has said that after the 5th August 2019 move nobody can trust the government of India anymore.

Farooq Abdullah in his first interview since his release from detention said that a day before the government of India repealed the special status of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in August last year, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given no indication of the move. “Nobody can trust the government of India anymore. There is not a day when they don’t lie,” he said.

“It just came out of the blue. I had met the PM a day before, he had given us no indication. I told him so many troops had been moved in, what was the need? Tourists were being pushed out, the (Amarnath) yatra had been cancelled. All this was strange…as if it was war with Pakistan or something,” Farooq Abdullah said.

“When we asked the PM, he didn’t say anything. But he said other things that I don’t think I should say at this point,” the NC leader said.

Jammu, August 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the district administration of Udhampur has issued over thirty seven thousand domicile certificates across the district so far.

As per the Assistant Commissioner, Viqar Giri, the certificates have been issued both through online and offline mode. He added that the Revenue Department was working hard to reach out the people and provide domicile certificates at their doorstep.

He said the tehsildars concerned have also started to organize camps in remote areas to issue domicile certificates on the spot. He said that daily progress was being monitored by the Deputy Commissioner »

Srinagar, August 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo has said that to save the culprits involved in the killing of three Rajouri labourers in last month’s fake encounter in Shopian, the Indian army is evading the facts by saying that the court of inquiry has been initiated to figure it out.

Muhammad Ahsan Untoo in a report issued in Srinagar said that the court of inquiry and DNA test reports had never been lucrative in delivering justice to the people but instead it helped the culprits to enjoy impunity »

Srinagar, August 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, illegally detained Hurriyat leader and Chairman of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi Jammu and Kashmir, Abdul Samad Inqilabi has said that the people of Kashmir have been facing a Karbala every day for last 72 years in their struggle for the freedom of their motherland.

Abdul Samad Inqilabi in a statement issued from Srinagar central jail said that the role of Imam Hussain (RA) was an inspiration for all humanity, giving a lesson that no one should bow before falsehood and tyranny.
