People targetted for their faith in India and IIOJK: report

Srinagar, August 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one Kashmiri youth in Baramulla district, today.

The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation at Saloosa in Kreeri area of the district. The operation continued till last reports came in. Indian police arrested two youth, Showkat Ahmed Butt and Aadil Fayaz Butt, from Ganderbal and Islamabad districts.

Meanwhile, a report released by the research section of Kashmir Media Service on the International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief, today, said that religious minorities were being persistently hounded in India under rogue Modi’s regime. It said, India has snatched every right including religious freedom of Kashmiri Muslims. »

Islamabad, August 22 (KMS): As the world observes International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief, today, reports of atrocities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and India continue to surface.

A report released by the research section of Kashmir Media Service in connection with the Day, today, maintained that Indian troops are even denying the Kashmiri people their right to observe their religious practices. “India has snatched every right including religious freedom of Kashmiri Muslims. Demographic change in IIOJK is a proof that India targets people because of their faith. Religious minorities are being persistently hounded in India under rogue Modi’s regime. Killing and torture of Indian Muslims in the garb of cow slaughter is a scar on the concept of civilized world. Gujarat massacre in 2002 indicates victimization of Muslims in India,” it said. »

Srinagar, August 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, family members of a missing PhD scholar, Hilal Ahmed, held another demonstration in Srinagar to seek his whereabouts.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the family members protesting at Press Enclave said that it had been more than two months since Hilal went missing. They said that Hilal’s mysterious disappearance had made them apprehensive about his safety. »

Srinagar, August 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one Kashmiri youth in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, today.

The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation at Check-i-Saloosa in Kreeri area of the district. The operation continued till last reports came in.

Indian police claimed that the youth was a militant, who was killed in an encounter with the troops.

Srinagar, August 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Mohammad Yasin Attai, detained under draconian law, Public safety Act (PSA), by the authorities, returned home in Badgam district after one year imprisonment in a jail in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

On 4th August 2019, a day before the Modi-led Indian government abrogated special status of IIOJK and put it under military siege, Badgam Police visited Mohammad Yasin Attai’s house and took him to the police station and later shifted him to Srinagar Central Jail.

Two days later, the APHC leader along with 20 other prisoners was directly airlifted to Raebareli jail in Uttar Pradesh – more than 950 kilometres away from his home. »

Srinagar, August 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a number of political parties on Saturday said that abrogation of Article 370 changed the relationship between Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi.

The joint statement signed by the leaders of all major political parties including National Conference, Congress and PDP said their politics will be subservient to the sacred goal of reverting to the status of J&K as it existed on August 4, 2019. »

Srinagar, August 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police arrested two innocent youth in Ganderbal and Islamabad districts.

The police arrested a youth identified as Showkat Ahmed Butt from a check point set up by the Indian forces near the Baderkund Nursery area in the district. The police labeled him as an over-ground worker of a mujahid organization. »

ISLAMABAD, August 22 (KMS): The Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), Abdul Majeed Malik, and Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Freedom Movement (JKPPFM), Qazi Muhammad Imran, have strongly condemned the blasphemous remarks by a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Satpal Sharma, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Abdul Majeed Malik and Qazi Muhammad Imran held a meeting in Islamabad and discussed the current situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The two leaders in a statement issued after the meeting said that the derogatory remarks against the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was aimed at stoking sectarian discard and carry out massacre of Kashmiri Muslims. »

Islamabad, August 22 (KMS): Pakistan has urged the international community to prosecute Indian civil and military personnel for “the worst form of state terrorism and serious crimes against humanity” in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

“Since 1990, India’s occupation army has martyred over 100,000 Kashmiris, widowed 22,000 women, orphaned 108,000 children and raped more than 11,000 women,” Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said in a statement on the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, marked globally on August 21. »

Islamabad, August 22 (KMS): The Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, Shehryar Khan Afridi has reiterated that Pakistan will never compromise on Kashmir and its nuclear deterrence programme, come what may.

Shehryar Khan Afridi in a media interview in Islamabad, today, said, “There is complete consensus among all the political parties of Pakistan at all levels on these two issues and no one can ever compromise on Kashmir and nuclear programme.”

He was of the view that these two issues were inalienable part of country’s strategic policies and termed them as vital for foundations and ideology of Pakistan. »
