Srinagar, August 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India has started pestering Kashmiri students pursuing different courses in Pakistani colleges and universities and even many of them have been arrested on frivolous charges.

The students and their parents told the media in Srinagar that hundreds of Kashmiri students who are studying or have completed their studies from Pakistan along with their families are forced to attend special police cells in the name of questioning. »

New Delhi, August 24 (KMS): In order to remove any distinction between original residents of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and new settlers from India, New Delhi has made it compulsory for Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) holders to acquire domicile certificate in the name of applying for jobs and getting other benefits.

The announcement in this regard was made by Indian Minister Dr Jitendra Singh during a press briefing in New Delhi. »

Islamabad, August 24 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a condolence meeting in Islamabad to pay tribute to Hurriyat leaders, Mushtaq Ahmed Wani and Dr Abdul Aala on their death anniversaries.

Senior Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Farooq Rahmani chaired the meeting.

The speakers on the occasion said that Mushtaq Ahmad Wani and Dr Abdul Aala started their political journey with an organization called Al-Fatah, formed for the liberation of Kashmir and as members of this organization they endured the hardships of imprisonment. »

Chidambaram, equality, INX media case,Srinagar, August 24 (KMS): Former Indian Home Minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram has appreciated six pro-India political parties from Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir for joining hands to fight repeal of Article 370 and restoration of special status of the territory.

P Chidambaram in series of tweets said, “I appeal to them to stand resolutely behind their demand. Ignore the uninformed criticism of self-styled nationalists who do not read history but try to re-write history.”

In another tweet he wrote, “The Constitution of India contains many examples of Special Provisions for states and asymmetric distribution of power.” »

New Delhi, August 24 (KMS): Dozens of Dalit families were subjected to social boycott after a 15-year-old girl entered the garden of a Hindu belonging to upper-caste in India’s Odisha state and plucked some flowers.

The incident took place in Kantio Kateni of Dhenkanal district.

“The Dalit families were then subjected to social boycott. They were denied ration from local shops and barred from attending social events,” Tumusinga police station inspector in-charge A K Dungdung said.

Steps were taken to resolve the issue after representatives of the Dalit families approached the police and the district administration a few days ago, the sub-collector of Kamakhyanagar sub-division, BP Acharya, said. »

Police resorted to baton charge against the female Shiite mourners who took out the procession on the 3rd day of Muharram in the city. A video uploaded on the social media shows police subjecting the mourners to brutal torture in the area.

The authorities had imposed strict restrictions in the interiors of Zadibal area of Srinagar and blocked roads to prevent Muharram processions. Personnel of Indian Army, central Reserve Police Force and police were deployed in strength to prevent the procession. »

Srinagar, August 24 (KMS): CPI-M leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has said that the situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir is disappointing, and hopelessness has engulfed the whole South Asian region because of wrong decisions and policies of BJP led Indian government.

Tarigami in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the joint resolution adopted by six political parties on Saturday, aimed at striving to revert pre-August 5, 2019 position as a significant move.

An audio clip that has gone viral claims that the BJP leader has been killed by some unknown kidnappers.
