Farooq Abdullah demands unconditional release of all detenues in KashmirSrinagar, August 25 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah has said that by scrapping Jammu and Kashmir’s special status on August 5 last year, India had dug its own grave as the move has internationalised Kashmir problem as never before.

Dr Abdullah in a media interview in Srinagar said, “The great thing that has happened after doing this (scrapping of special status), Kashmir has become an international problem. The Government of India is unable to get rid of it. After years, the UN Security Council met and debated Kashmir three times and will continue to debate it. »

Srinagar, August 25 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a prominent rights group has called India’s communications blackout following the scrapping of the disputed territory’s special status, last year, collective punishment and urged the international community to question New Delhi over digital apartheid.

Srinagar, August 25 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference while expressing concern over the plight of Kashmiri political detainees in detention centers and jails and the ill treatment meted to them by the jail authorities, has appealed to the international human rights organizations including International Committee of Red Cross, Asia Watch, Amnesty International to take up the matter with the Indian government.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar on Tuesday said that the way Kashmiri prisoners were treated in jails in and outside Jammu and Kashmir had surpassed all limits of the human and legal sphere, adding that these helpless prisoners were unlawfully and unnecessarily shifted outside jails and were harassed on one pretext or the other »

Yashwant SinhaNew Delhi, August 25 (KMS): Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Yashwant Sinha has said that Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir must get back erstwhile status as well as Articles 370 and 35-A, which were scrapped in August, last year.

Srinagar August 25 (KMS):  In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Anjuman-e-Awqaf Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, has demanded immediate release of Chairman of Hurriyat Forum and head of Awqaf, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.

A statement issued by Anjuman-e-Awqaf on the occasion of the 31st anniversary said that the motive behind the infamous operation which took place on 25th August 1989 was to weaken the centrality of the grand masjid.
