Srinagar, August 29 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, defying restrictions and ban on Muharram processions, people took out processions and held mourning prayers in Srinagar and Badgam.

The speakers of these gatherings reaffirmed the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue freedom movement till it reached its logical conclusion.

They emphasized that the Kashmiris were treading the path of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) by offering sacrifices for a sacred cause.

The hallmark of this year’s Muharram processions is that these resound with pro-freedom and pro-Pakistan slogans.

Tehreek-e Wahdat—e-Islami has raised pro-freedom banners at many places describing Narendra Modi as the Yazid of the time.

Srinagar, August 29 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has paid rich tributes to seven youth martyred by Indian troops during cordon and search operations in Shopian and Pulwama districts.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs and reiterated that the APHC would carry forward the ongoing freedom movement, adding that the sacrifices of Kashmiris would not go waste.

He strongly condemned the use of brute force on Muharram processions and mourners and the arbitrary arrests of youth in Srinagar, Badgam and other areas of the territory. »

Brussels, August 29 (KMS): The Chairman of Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU), Ali Raza Syed, paying rich tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his great companions at the battle of Karbala, has said that Karbala is a voice of freedom for whole humanity from oppression and injustices.

Ali Raza Syed in a statement on the eve of Ashura (10th Muharram), said that the sacrifices offered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), in the Karbala upheld the great values of humanity and the sacrifices would remain as an example for the all freedom lovers. Though, Imam Husain (RA) and his companions were a few in numbers as compare to thousands of the army of Yazid but the Imam proved that truth in a small number can defeat larger forces of the falsehood, he added.

The KCEU Chairman said all Kashmiri pro-freedom leaders and activists, who want to liberate their land from Indian occupation, have learned the lesson from the spirit of Karbala. Kashmiris are also in a small number as compared to hundreds of thousands of the Indian forces but they (Kashmiris) have high spirit in their freedom struggle because they are on right path, he maintained. »

Srinagar, August 29 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Mazhamat (TeM) has expressed grave concern over the stepped-up human rights violations and wanton killing of Kashmiri youth by Indian troops.

The Chairman of Tehreek-e-Mazhamat Bilal Siddiqi in a statement issued in Srinagar, condemning fresh acts of state terrorism in the territory said, “The deteriorating human rights situation and genocide of Kashmiri youth by Indian forces must serve an eye-opener for the world community.”

Referring to the killing of seven innocent youth in Pulwama and Shopian, he said that trigger-happy Indian forces’ personnel had turned Kashmir into a slaughterhouse where innocent civilians were being killed on daily basis. “The systematic killing of Kashmiri youth is part of India’s nefarious designs to alter the demography of the disputed territory,” he said. »

New Delhi, August 29 (KMS): Human rights organization, Amnesty International has said that Delhi Police committed serious rights violations during the Delhi riots earlier this year and even indulged in violence with rioters and called for a prompt, thorough and independent investigation against the involved law enforcement officials.

The 20-page report, which documented first person accounts of riot victims from northeast Delhi, claimed that at least 53 persons between February 23 and 29 also expressed shock at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for not making any attempt to hold the Delhi police accountable till now.

It said officers of the Delhi police force that reports to the MHA, also tortured those arrested in custody besides “using excessive force” on anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) protesters, “dismantling protest sites used by peaceful protesters and being mute bystanders as rioters wreaked havoc”. »

Islamabad, August 29 (KMS): The Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) has denounce killing and random arrest of innocent youth in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The JKSM in a meeting held in Islamabad, today, with its President Altaf Ahmed Butt, in the chair, expressed concern over the fresh wave of Indian state terrorism during the month of Muharram-ul-Haraam.

Addressing on the occasion, Altaf Ahmed Butt said that it had become a norm of Indian forces to kill and torture and create chaos in IIOJK during the holy months and important days. They are using fake CASOs to kill youth during the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haraam as they did during Ramadan, he said. »

New Delhi, August 29 (KMS): Days after the Lok Sabha Speaker asked the parliamentary panels to not take up subjudice matters in their meetings, a house committee on information technology has dropped the issue of internet services suspension in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir from its agenda.

As per the updated agenda issued by the Secretariat of Lok Sabha, the lower house of Indian Parliament, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information and Technology, headed by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, will discuss suspension of telecom or internet services in Bihar and Delhi in its meeting scheduled for September 1. An earlier agenda had included IIOJK too. However, the panel’s meeting where Facebook has been summoned remains on the agenda. »

Islamabad, August 29 (KMS): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Security and Strategic Policy Planning, Dr Moeed Yusuf, has said that the Kashmiris are still hopeful that the UN will fulfill its promise regarding their right to self-determination as enshrined in the Security Council resolutions, before it is too late.

In a press release, he urged the international community to act now before the question mark over Kashmir’s future turns into an indelible black mark on the world’s conscience.

The Special Assistant said despite all the safeguards, some nations continue to suffer crimes against humanity and their territories have become an arena of abuses with no recourse to justice. »
