Srinagar, August 30 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have condemned in strong terms the new spate of killings by Indian troops in the territory.

The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, termed the latest killing as the worst kind of state terrorism. A DFP spokesman while paying rich tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops during cordon and search operations in Srinagar, Shopian and Pulwama districts expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs.

Lauding the sacrifices of the youth, the spokesman said that Indian state terrorism would not deter Kashmiris from pursuing their long cherished goal for which they have offered unprecedented sacrifices. The party also took a strong exception to the use of brute force on Muharram processions and indiscriminate pellet firing on mourners in Srinagar, Budgam and other areas of the valley. »

Srinagar, August 30 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori has said that Kashmiris have been struggling for their birthright to self-determination for the past seven decades and are facing Karbala-like situation on daily basis.

Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori in a statement issue in Srinagar deplored that during the past seven decades, lakhs of Kashmiri were martyred and injured and property worth trillions was destroyed but India’s oppression didn’t seem to end.

He strongly condemned the use of brute force by Indian forces on Muharram processions in the territory and paid rich tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and other martyrs of Karbala. The battle of Karbala was not just between two forces, rather it was between the two ideas, he added. »

World urged to help trace whereabouts of disappeared

Srinagar, August 30 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Kashmir, Indian troops while using enforced disappearance as a strategy to spread terror subjected thousands of Kashmiris to custodial disappearance during the last thirty years.

According to a report released by the Research Section of the Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of the International Day of Disappeared, today, being the most militarized zone in the world, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed killings, enforced disappearances, torture cases, rapes and other brutalities by the Indian forces over the decades. Over 8,000 vanished only in the custody after they were picked up by the Indian troops, police and paramilitary forces since 1990. The report revealed that more than 200,000 relatives of victims of enforced disappearances have been working tirelessly to trace their missing ones. Also the families of those the disappeared people suffer economically because in most cases, the breadwinner of the family is targeted. »

Srinagar, August 30 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian organized mourning ceremonies on the occasion of Ashura across the valley.

Scholars on the occasion explained the philosophy of martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the different aspects of the battle of Karbala.

President of Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi Al Safvi, who has been under house arrest since August, last year, was continuously barred from attending the mourning gatherings at central imambargah in Budgam. »

Islamabad, August 30 (KMS): Pakistan has strongly condemned the extra-judicial killing of four more Kashmiris in staged encounter in Shopian region of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the restrictions on religious processions and gatherings during Muharram.

The Foreign Office Spokesperson, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry, in a statement in Islamabad said more than three hundred innocent Kashmiris, including women and children, have been martyred by the Indian forces in fake encounters and so-called cordon and search operations during the last one year.

He said that the Indian inhuman methods to subjugate the Kashmiri people through killings, torture, forced disappearances and incarcerations have failed in the past and would not succeed in the future too. »

Islamabad, August 30 (KMS): Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Ali Amin Gandapur has strongly condemned the extra-judicial killing of Kashmiris in fake encounters and imposition of restrictions on religious gathering and processions in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to a statement, Ali Amin Gandapur said, Modi government’s brutal tactics in the United Nations recognized disputed territory has been exposed to the world as occupying forces in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are using teargas and firing pellet guns on mourners on Muharram processions. »

LAHORE, August 30 (KMS): Punjab Chief Minister, Sardar Usman Buzdar has urged people to follow the enlightened teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) in the true sense.

In his message issued on Yaum-e-Ashura, the chief minister said, “The glorious sacrifices rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in the Karbala are a beacon for us.”

He said, tyrant Modi has perpetrated brutalities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and has become Yazeed of present era.

Indian police lost encounter specialist ASI, SOG: DGP

Srinagar, August 30 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three more Kashmiri youth in an overnight operation in Srinagar, raising the number of the slain youth in the territory to 10 over the past three days.

Three youth were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Panthachowk area on the outskirts of Srinagar city.

Earlier, an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Special Operation Group of Indian police was also killed in an attack in the same area.

Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbagh Singh talking to reporters in Srinagar today, said that police had lost encounter specialist in Panthachowk gunfight who had played key role in numerous operations against mujahideen in the Valley. On the sidelines of wreath laying ceremony of slain ASI of Special Operation Group of Indian Police, Babu Ram, the DGP said the Ram “was well trained and had taken part in much anti-militancy operation in Valley.”

On Saturday, the troops martyred three youth during a cordon and search operation at Zadoora in Pulwama, while four youth were martyred during a similar operation in Kiloora area of Shopian district on Friday. »
