Srinagar, September 02 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed serious concern over India’s nefarious attempts to change the demographic composition of the territory.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that RSS-backed Modi government was imposing new laws one after another to bring about and accelerate the process of demographic change in IIOJK. He said under new so-called domicile law, the Indian administration has issued domicile certificates to thousands of non-Kashmiris to allow them to get permanently settled in IIOJK in gross violation of the international law. He said that the Kashmiris would strongly resist India’s nefarious plans aimed at converting the Muslim majority into minority in the territory. »

Islamabad, September 02 (KMS): Dr Syed Inayatullah Andrabi, a Kashmiri intellectual based in London, has said that National Conference top leader Farooq Abdullah’s retort to Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s recent statement regarding the ‘Gupkar Declaration’ is absolutely out of place and makes no sense at all.

Syed Inayatullah Andrabi, elucidating his point in his latest tweets, said Pakistan being a legitimate party to the Kashmir conflict has every right to intervene in the affairs of Kashmir the way Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi did.

Dr Andrabi pointed out that the NC leader’s reaction that they are not puppets is neither here nor there as the Pakistani foreign minister never said they are so, either explicitly or implicitly. However, he added that Farooq Abdullah and his associates need to walk the talk, and practically demonstrate that they are not India’s puppets. »

Srinagar, September 02 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India’s notorious National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids on the residences of four cross-LoC traders in Srinagar, today.

The NIA sleuths, accompanied by the personnel of Indian police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), raided the houses of the cross-LoC traders, Ghulam Ahmed Dar, Ishfaq Ahmed Dar and Ayoub Matta at Danderkha Batamaloo and Mushtaq Ahmed Khan at Mandar Bagh in Srinagar. The search continued for several hours.

Since 2017, India’s NIA and the Enforcement Department (ED) have arrested more than two dozen Hurriyat leaders and businessmen in the Kashmir Valley in false cases registered against them. KM

New Delhi, September 02 (KMS): An official report released by the Indian government has revealed that 8664 persons were lodged in jails of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir during 2019.

The report – Prison Statistics of India, 2019 – unveiled by the Indian National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) lays bare that 8664 persons were admitted in jails of Kashmir Valley and Jammu region during last year.

The NCRB comes under administrative control of the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to the data, as on 31 December 2019, 3689 inmates were lodged in IIOJK jails against the overall capacity of 2910. This means overall occupancy rate in jails of IIOJK was 126.8 percent, which shows overcrowding in the prisons »

Cabinet approves J&K official languages bill

New Delhi, September 02 (KMS): The Narendra Modi-led fascist government in New Delhi has launched another anti-Kashmiri move in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian Cabinet on Wednesday approved a bill under which Kashmiri, Dogri and Hindi, apart from the existing Urdu and English, will be the official languages in the territory. The sole objective is of the move is to harm the Urdu language, which has been the official language of the territory for decades and most of the literature is in Urdu. It is also aimed at introducing Hindi culture and literature in the territory. »

Srinagar, September 02 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori and Abdul Samad Inqalabi, have paid rich tributes to the Kashmiri youth, who were recently martyred by Indian troops in Srinagar, Pulwama and Shopian.

Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopore in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Kashmiri youth were sacrificing their lives to liberate their homeland from Indian illegal occupation. He expressed deep concern over the ongoing killings of Kashmiri youth by Indian troops in the occupied territory and said that India had imposed war on a peace loving Kashmiris. »

Srinagar, September 02 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami, a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), has said that the Kashmiri people, while challenging Indian tyranny, are treading the path showed by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) in Karbala.

The TWI spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, paying rich tributes to those recently martyred by the occupation troops across the occupied territory, said that New Delhi had turned IIOJK into another Karbala particularly during the last 30 years. He also paid homage to the mourners who defied restrictions imposed by the authorities to thwart Muharram processions this year. He said that the mourners despite being showered with pellets and bullets took to the streets and proved that they were the true followers of Imam Hussain (RA) and were ready to die to carry his mission of truth and justice forward. »

Srinagar, September 02 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM) has expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of party leader, Javaid Ahmed, who passed away in Ganderbal due to brief illness.

A delegation led by APHC leader and DPM Chairman, Khawaja Firdous, went to Ganderbal and attended the funeral prayers of Javaid Ahmed. »

Islamabad, September 02 (KMS): The Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Syed Aijaz Rehmani, has denounced the harassment and fresh wave of arbitrary arrest of youth by Indian troops during cordon and search operations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Syed Aijaz Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad condemned the arrest of youth in Badgam and Baramulla areas and NIA raids in Srinagar. He said that such harsh measures were in clear violation of the worldwide accepted democratic norms and principles.

He maintained that the sentiments of the Kashmiri people especially youth can never be suppressed by the dint of force. He said Kashmir is a disputed territory and the UN resolutions are the only mechanism to resolve it by ascertaining the will of the Kashmiri people. »
