Islamabad, September 04 (KMS): A delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) Chapter lead by Muhammad Hussain Khateeb met the Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Shehryar Afridi at Parliament House in Islamabad, today.

During the meeting the APHC-AJK leaders apprised the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee about the latest situation in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir particularly regarding the human rights violations and the resistance movement against the continued repression of the Indian armed forces. They further said that APHC also boycotted the election 2019 as a principle policy of the Kashmiris that elections were not an alternative of the plebiscite guaranteed by the UN Security Council resolutions seventy two years ago, therefore, the present general elections were also irrelevant for the Kashmiris. The delegation also congratulated Shehryar Afridi on his election for the position of the Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir. »

Srinagar, September 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three Kashmiri youth in Baramulla district, today.

The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation at Yadipora in Pattan area of the district. Earlier, an Indian Army major was killed and a policeman was injured in an attack in the same area. Indian troops during house raids arrested three youth in Pattan. The troops also launched a cordon and search operation in Babhoora area of Pulwama district.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar welcomed the recent remarks of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation General Secretary, Yousuf Bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, wherein he reiterated OIC’s unambiguous stance on the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and reaffirmed support for their freedom struggle. The APHC spokesman said that being a Muslim population, the people of Kashmir had high expectations from the OIC and hoped that it would expedite its efforts to highlight the Kashmiris’ plight. »

New Delhi, September 04 (KMS): There has been a major force build-up of Chinese tanks and infantry forces in the South Pangong region of Eastern Ladakh in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian media reported.

Given the range of their guns, Chinese artillery would be located in ‘depth’ positions, more than twenty kilometres away from the Line of Actual Control, NDTV reported. »

Islamabad, September 04 (KMS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) senior Vice Chairman, Altaf Hussain Wani has expressed deep concern over the worsening human rights and humanitarian situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Altaf Hussain Wani in a statement issued in Islamabad condemned in strong terms the rising tide of Indian state oppression in IIOJK. He said that India’s fascist regime led by Narendra Modi was using repressive state apparatus to suppress the Kashmiris’ legitimate struggle through arbitrary detentions, fake encounters and cordon and search operations. »

New York, September 04 (KMS): The New York-based international rights watchdog, Human Rights Watch (HRW) has asked the Indian authorities to prohibit its armed forces in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir from using pellet guns to disperse protesters.

The Human Rights Watch in a statement posted on its website said that Indian police and paramilitary forces used pellet firing shotguns as well as teargas shells at a Muharram procession in Srinagar on August 29, 2020, injuring dozens of people. »

Srinagar, September 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmed Mir, has said that the unresolved Kashmir dispute poses serious threat to peace in the entire South Asian region.

Javaid Ahmed Mir addressing a condolence meeting in Srinagar, today, urged India to give up its intransigence on the Kashmir dispute and settle it in accordance with the UN resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri people.

He deplored that the Indian forces were killing innocent people particularly youth on daily basis in the territory. He added that even mourning processions were not spared on Youm-e-Aashur. »

Srinagar, September 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh highway is continuously witnessing increased movement of Indian troops and vehicles transporting artillery towards Ladakh.

A large number of Indian military vehicles, carrying troops and other artillery have been going on through the highway since Monday following fresh standoff between Indian and Chinese army at South Bank of the Pangong Lake in eastern Ladakh. »

Beijing, September 04 (KMS): China has strongly opposed India banning Chinese mobile apps, saying the actions violate the legal interests of Chinese investors and services providers.

Spokesman of China’s commerce ministry, Gao Feng, talking to media, asked India to correct its wrong practices. He added, “The Indian side abused the concept of ”national security” and adopted discriminatory restrictive measures against Chinese companies, violating relevant World Trade Organisation rules”. »
