Indian court refuses to hear fake encounters plea

Srinagar, September 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a civil society organization, the Group of Concerned Citizens, has expressed its concern over the promotion of the Devanagri script instead of the Persian style for the Kashmiri language.

The Srinagar-based Group that includes former bureaucrats, vice chancellors and academicians in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said that the Devanagri script, written from left to right, is used to write the Sanskrit, Hindi and Marathi languages. They maintained that the decision to impose Devanagri scrip had raised genuine apprehensions about the future of the Kashmiri language. The civil society members said that Nastaliq style is the standard system of writing the Kashmiri language and is also a repository of cultural heritage and identity of the Kashmiri people. They also mentioned the threat posed to Urdu due to the new Bill introduced in the Indian Parliament. »

Islamabad, September 08 (KMS): Top civil and military leadership in Pakistan has once again rejected India’s any unilateral moves on the Kashmir dispute, saying that human rights violation perpetrated by Modi-led fascist Indian government in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have increased manifold since August 5, last year.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan in a statement in Islamabad said that Indian government had unleashed a reign of terror and fear against innocent Kashmiris after repealing Kashmir-specific Article 370 in violation of the UN Charter on August 5, 2019.

The Prime Minister said that India’s provocations at the Line of Control were aimed at diverting the world’s attention from its atrocities in the occupied territory. »

Islamabad, September 08 (KMS): The APHC-AJK chapter organized a protest demonstration outside the UN office in Islamabad, today, to condemn the Indian atrocities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and New Delhi’s misleading statements about deletion of the Kashmir dispute from the agenda of the UN Security Council.

The participants of the demonstration on the occasion submitted a memorandum to the UN office, demanding of the World Body’s Chief, Antonio Guterres, to take notice of the brutalities being perpetrated by Indian troops under the garb of coronavirus lockdown in the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, September 08 (KMS): The Indian Supreme Court has refused to hear a petition seeking probe into the killing of three innocent Kashmiri youth in a fake encounter by Indian troops in Shopian district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on July 18, this year.

Seeing pictures of those killed in the fake encounter on social media, the families from Rajouri had said that the martyred youth were their kin who had gone to Shopian for work. »

Muzaffarabad, September 08 (KMS): A spokesman of Muttahida Jehad Council has condemned the malicious propaganda of the Indian media against its chief, Syed Salahuddin.

The spokesman in a statement in Muzaffarabad said that the Indian media was showing a fake document to malign Syed Salahuddin and the Kashmir freedom movement. The statement emphasised that India’s such designs were bound to fail.

New Delhi, September 08 (KMS): An article published in New Delhi based news website The Wire says that a petition was filed by 40 Israeli citizens in the Supreme Court of Israel demanding the country’s police be prevented from training Indian police officers involved in severe rights abuses in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The petition, filed in January, this year, had argued that Israel can’t legally and morally justify the provision of assistance by way of training to specific Indian police officers that are involved and responsible for grave crimes under international law in Kashmir. »

1.4 million domiciles certificate have been issued so far

Srinagar, September 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Modi-led fascist Indian government has notified the so-called Jammu & Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rule, 2020, in order to further intensify the procedure for issuance of domicile certificates among non-locals in the territory.

The rules provide a simple and time-bound procedure for the issuance of the domicile certificates so that the process to change the existing demographic composition is overturned in months if not days. »

Jammu, September 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, members of the Sikh community staged a demonstration in Jammu on Tuesday, demanding inclusion of Punjabi in the list of official languages in the territory.

Led by Supreme Sikh Organisation (SSO) chairperson, S Gurmeet Singh, the demonstrators said that they would intensify their struggle if their demand was not met. »

Srinagar, September 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police arrested three Kashmiri youth in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, today.

The police arrested the youth identified as Mujeeb Shamas, Tanveer Ahmed Mir and Imtiyaz Ahmed Sheikh – all residents of Mir Mohalla Hajin – during house raids. The police claimed that the youth had hoisted Pakistani flags in the main Hajin market. »

Islamabad, September 08 (KMS): Vice Chairman of Islamic Political Party (IPP), Syed Mushtaq Hussain, has said India is committing atrocities and killings in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to perpetuate its forcible occupation over the territory.

Syed Mushtaq Hussain in a statement issued in Islamabad deplored that the international community was strengthening India’s hand by calling the Kashmir a mere human rights issue. He said that the international community must use its influence to ensure the basic right to the Kashmiris. »
