Islamabad, September 08 (KMS): Top civil and military leadership in Pakistan has once again rejected India’s any unilateral moves on the Kashmir dispute, saying that human rights violation perpetrated by Modi-led fascist Indian government in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have increased manifold since August 5, last year.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan in a statement in Islamabad said that Indian government had unleashed a reign of terror and fear against innocent Kashmiris after repealing Kashmir-specific Article 370 in violation of the UN Charter on August 5, 2019.

The Prime Minister said that India’s provocations at the Line of Control were aimed at diverting the world’s attention from its atrocities in the occupied territory.

Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa addressing a ceremony at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi said that India had once again threatened regional peace by illegally abrogating the IIOJK’s special status. While making it clear that Pakistan rejects any unilateral decision on the Kashmir dispute, the Army Chief made a mention of the famous quotation of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah that Kashmir is Pakistan’s jugular vein and is part of our faith.

General Bajwa said that Pakistan was fully equipped and prepared to respond to any Indian misadventure with full might.

It is worth mentioning here that Modi-led human rights violations have massively increased in IIOJK since August 5, 2019, when New Delhi abrogated Article 370 of its constitution and revoked Jammu and Kashmir’s special status.

According to a report compiled by Kashmir Media Service, over 230 people have been killed, 1500 plus tortured and over 14000 arrested in IIOJK since August, last year. Several UN reports have also documented massive rights violations by Indian troops in the territory. These reports say that these human violations are directly connected to the unresolved Kashmir dispute and are meant to subdue the Kashmiris.

It is, therefore, incumbent upon the global community to stop the ongoing Indian military onslaught in IIOJK and resolve the Kashmir dispute as per aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
