IANSSrinagar, September 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth including one in custody in Baramulla district.

The Indian troops and police arrested a youth identified as Irfan Ahmed during a cordon and search operation at Tujjer Sharief in Sopore area of the district on Monday night and later killed him in custody.

The occupation authorities have suspended internet service in the town to prevent people from getting information about the incident and deployed Indian forces’ personnel in strength to stop demonstrations against the killing. »

Ankara, September 16 (KMS): Turkey has reiterated its call to the Indian government to ease the current restrictions in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

A statement issued by Turkey at the 45th Session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva said, “We sincerely desire that Kashmir issue is resolved through peaceful means between India and Pakistan on the basis of the relevant UN resolutions.”

During the general debate on High Commissioner’s oral update, Turkey also lambasted India’s ally Israel for violating human rights of the Palestinians. »

Srinagar, September 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the killing of a 23-year-old youth triggered a fresh wave of anger in Sopore and other areas of Baramulla district.

The family of the victim, Irfan Ahmed, told media men that their son was dubbed as a militant by Indian police and was killed in custody.

“I along with my brother Irfan was picked up by police for questioning on September 14 and we were kept separately. I was set free but my brother was kept in the police custody,” said Javaid Ahmed, Irfan’s brother. »

Srinagar, September 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and senior Hurriyat leader Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori have strongly condemned the killing of an innocent Kashmiri youth, Irfan Ahmad Dar, in police custody in Sopore.

The Hurriyat in a statement issued in Srinagar on Wednesday termed the incident sad and disturbing and appealed rights bodies to take cognizance of these brazen human rights violations and bring the culprits to book. It said these extra-judicial killings by the authorities that keep taking place in the valley at regular intervals to sustain the atmosphere of fear among people are condemnable to say the least. »

Srinagar, September 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Hurriyat led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the statement made in the Indian Parliament by the government that no one is under house arrest is strange, surprising and based on fabrication.

The Hurriyat in a statement issued in Srinagar maintained that its Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has been under house detention since 5th August 2019. “On that day police vehicles were parked on both the gates of his house’s compound and since then he is not allowed to move out,” it said, adding that if the Mirwaiz is not under house arrest then why is he not allowed to move out of his house? »

Srinagar, September 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmir Editors’ Guild (KEG) and Kashmir Press Club (KPC) have strongly condemned the use of brute force against three Kashmiri journalists during performance of professional duties at Pampore in Pulwama district, the other day.

KEG in a statement issued in Srinagar said that one of the three journalists, Kamran Yousuf, who works for a Delhi based news portal, was severely injured in the attack by the troops. »

Srinagar, September 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a soldier of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel committed suicide in Pulwama district, today.

The CRPF constable identified as T Sriniwas ended his life by shooting himself with his service rifle in a camp in Lethpora area of the district.

This incident raised the number of such deaths among Indian troops and police personnel in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to 470 since January 2007.

Geneva, September 16 (KMS): The Organisation of Kashmir Coalition (OKC) has welcomed the recent statement of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, in which she expressed serious concern over the grave human rights violation being perpetrated by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Michelle Bachelet in her inaugural statement at the 45th session of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva on Monday stated that in IIOJK, incidents of military and police violence against civilians continue including use of pellet guns. »
