Srinagar, September 23 (KMS): In illegally Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Bharatiya Janata Party led fascist Indian regime is working on fast track to issue domicile certificates to non-Kashmiris in order to change IIOJK’s demography and deprive the Kashmiris of their identity.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, said giving domicile certificates to non-Kashmiris is a clear violation of international law and UN resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, September 23 (KMS): In  Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other Hurriyat leaders and organizations have welcomed Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, for raising the Kashmir dispute during the ongoing 75th session of the UN General Assembly in New York and supporting the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

New Delhi, September 23 (KMS): Indian parliament passed a bill, the Jammu and Kashmir Official Languages Bill 2020, to eliminate the status of Urdu as sole official language of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The bill was passed by a voice vote in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Indian parliament, on Wednesday, while Lok Sabha had already passed the bill. »

Srinagar, September 23 (KMS): In  Indian illegally  occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian forces’ personnel came under an attack in Pulwama district.

The attack was carried out on a joint team of Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and police in Pulwama town. No loss of life or injury was reported in the attack. Soon after the attack, the troops and police personnel cordoned off the whole area and launched house to house searches to nab the attackers.

Meanwhile, a building of dreaded Special Operations Group (SOG) of Indian police was damaged after it caught fire at Awantipora in Pulwama. The cause of fire could not be known.

Srinagar, September 23 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, unknown gunmen shot dead a Sarpanch and Block Development Council (BDC) Chairman in Budgam district, today.

Officials said that gunmen fired in the head of Bhupinder Singh, an independent Sarpanch for Khag area of district just outside his residence. He was taken to hospital where he was declared as brought dead.

Srinagar, September 23 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmed Mir, today, visited Batamaloo area of Srinagar to express solidarity with the family of a women, who was martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in the area, last week.

Javaid Ahmed Mir on the occasion paid rich tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs for rendering their lives for the freedom cause. »

Srinagar, September 23 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Pairwaan-e-Wilayat has expressed grave concern over the plight of Kashmiri political prisoners detained in various jails of India and the territory.

A Pairwaan-e-Wilayat spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that innocent Kashmiris languishing in various jails were treated inhumanely. He said that physical and mental condition of the detainees lodged in notorious Indian jails was critical. He deplored that the international community had maintained a criminal silence on Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory. »

Brussels, September 23 (KMS): Speakers of a webinar in Brussels called upon the European Union (EU) to insist on safeguarding the human rights particularly rights of the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir in its strategic partnership negotiations with India.

The webinar titled, “India’s Democracy: Shrinking Space for Freedom of Expression, Press Freedom and Human Rights Defenders,” was organized by Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU) based in Brussels, the European capital.

Speaking on the occasion, the KCEU Chairman, Ali Raza Syed, said that the EU should pay attention of the worse situation of human rights in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir as well as different parts of India where minorities and lower castes were being oppressed by the extremists backed by the state. »

United Nations, September 23 (KMS): Turkey told the UN General Assembly that the Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan is a “burning issue” and called for resolving it through dialogue.

“The Kashmir conflict, which is also key to the stability and peace of South Asia, is still a burning issue,” Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said in a speech he made via video-link to the 193-member Assembly’s landmark 75th session. »
