Islamabad, September 29 (KMS): Hurriyat AJK leaders held a meeting in Islamabad to express condolence with Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum Chairman Omar Aadil Dar over the death of his grandfather Ghulam Ahmed Ganai in Srinagar.

The leaders while offering prayers for the departed soul expressed condolences with the bereaved family. They also expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Muslim League leader Ghulam Ahmad Ghulam.

On the occasion, special prayers were also offered for the speedy recovery of veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, and Muzaffar Wani, father of prominent martyred youth leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani. »

Islamabad, September 29 (KMS): While condemning India’s move to abrogate Article 370 and induction of a new domicile law for Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, panelists at a webinar have termed the actions as a flagrant violation of Geneva Conventions and the UN Security Council resolutions on Kashmir.

he event was hosted by Kashmir Institute of International Relations (KIIR) in collaboration with World Muslim Council (WMC). The webinar titled “Demographic Changes, Violation of International Law: A Case Study of Indian Occupied Kashmir” was participated and addressed by independent observers and experts on human rights, Hurriyat leaders, and lawmakers including Labour MP for Luton North Miss Sarah Owen, Member of Parliament for Peterborough Paul Baristow, Kashmiri leaders Masroor Abbas Ansari, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Shaista Safi, Executive Director YFK Ahmad Qureshi and several others. The event was moderated by the KIIR Chairman, Altaf Hussain Wani. »

Srinagar, September 29 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a study conducted by the Kashmir University of Science and Technology has confirmed that more than 95% of youth in the territory are opposed to the removal of Article 370, which granted special status to the occupied territory.

Titled as ‘A Study on Jammu and Kashmir Present, Past and Views of Students on Article 370 abrogation’, the study has been published in International Journal of Latest Research on Humanitarian and Social Science.

Conducted by Dr Bilal Ahmad Butt, faculty at the Kashmir University, the research has studied many aspects of the impact of conflict and abrogation of Article 370 on Kashmiri youth. It says 97% of males and 94% of females in Kashmir are against the abrogation of Article 370. »

Srinagar, September 29 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League visited residences of victims of Indian state terrorism in different areas of the territory.

A JKYSF delegation led by its General Secretary Zubair Hassan Mir visited the residence of detained party leader, Asif Ali in Pulwama district, today.  Asif Ali who is JKYSF district Pulwama President is under illegal detention of India for the past six months. Zubair Mir while expressing sympathies with the family of the detained leader prayed for his early release.

The fruits growers and dealers in a statement issued in Srinagar said the truck drivers who are able to pay huge amount to the forces’ personnel deployed at the highway are allowed to move ahead while others are forced to stay. »

United Nations, Sept 29 (KMS): Pakistan has reminded the international community that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi ignored Kashmir and other major global issues in his address to the UN General Assembly.

The Indian leader addressed the 75th UNGA on September 26, and demanded a permanent seat in the UN Security Council, but purposely ignored key global issues. Pakistan opposed the Indian demand, saying that there’s no place for “a fascist state” in a decision-making body like the UNSC. »
