Kashmiris hailed for showing resentment against Indian moves

Srinagar, October 31 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, normal life was crippled today, due to complete strike against Modi government’s nefarious designs to change the demographic composition of Jammu and Kashmir by allowing Hindus from India to buy land in the territory.

Call for the shutdown was given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and supported by the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front and other pro-freedom organizations. Today’s strike was exemplary as all shops, business establishments and petrol pumps were closed while traffic was off the road in the territory. »

Washington, October 31 (KMS): The General Secretary of Washington-based World Kashmir Awareness Forum (WKAF), Ghulam Nabi Fai, on behalf of Kashmiris has expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives due to devastating earthquake in Turkey, yesterday.

A strong earthquake of 6.6 magnitude in Turkey killed at least 12 and injured more than 500 people. »

Thanks IIOJK people for observing crippling strike

Srinagar, October 31 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, General Secretary of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Molvi Bashir Ahmed Irfani, has said that India is using cheap tactics including the notorious Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) to defame the Hurriyat leadership and liberation movement.

Molvi Bashir Ahmed Irfani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that after failing to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom sentiment through military might, India was trying to malign the Hurriyat leadership, NGOs, media outlets and charity organizations through the NIA and create confusion among the people of the territory. He said that India would fail in its sinister intentions and the Kashmiri people would not give up their struggle for securing their birthright to self-determination. »

Maulana Sarjan Barkati, also known as ‘Azadi Chacha’ (Freedom Uncle), was recently released from 4 years illegal detention.

The JKPL Chief Organizer, Dr Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan, and Coordinator, Shaikh Nazir Ahmed, along with an eight-member delegation during their visit to Sarjan Barkati’s residence congratulated him on his release. »

Zahid Ashraf in a statement issued in Islamabad termed the raids a brutal ploy to muzzle the fundamental rights and freedom of expression. »

Jammu, October 31 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum, Devinder Singh Behl has said that the new law on land ownership imposed by India in the territory is a violation of international law.

Devinder Singh Behl in a statement issued in Jammu said that India wanted to change the demography of IIOJK. He deplored that last year in August, the Bharatiya Janata Party Indian government led by Narendra Modi repealed the special status of the territory and impose military siege to further its Hindutva agenda in the territory.

He said that under these laws India wanted to settle RSS and BJP goons in IIOJK to change the population ratio but the Kashmiri people would never surrender to India despite its cruel acts and fascist tactics. »
