Srinagar, October 02 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and President of Anjuman Shari Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, led Friday prayers in Badgam district after 425 days of house detention.

A spokesman of Anjuman Shari Shian in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi was put under house arrest ahead of repeal of special status of IIOJK by Modi government on August 05, last year. He said that the detention of the party President was challenged in the High Court of the occupied territory. »

Islamabad, October 02 (KMS): The Acting President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, has condemned the Indian government’s despotic attitude towards global rights group, Amnesty International (AI).

Mehmood Ahmad Saghar in a media interview in Islamabad said that the AI was being punished for exposing the ugly face of the RSS-influenced fascist regime led by Hindu supremacist, Narendra Modi.

He said that the AI had released a series of eye-opening reports focusing on how the human rights of Kashmiris were being trampled down under the jackboots and how the lawless laws like Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and Public Safety Act (PSA) were being used by India to suppress the legitimate voice of Kashmiris. »

Srinagar, October 02 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has deplored that India is using every brutal tactic to continue its illegal hold on Jammu and Kashmir and to suppress the Kashmiris’ just struggle for securing their inalienable right to self-determination.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that fascist Modi government was resorting to strong-arm-tactics to subjugate the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. “RSS-backed Modi regime is plotting to deprive Kashmiris of their identity and motherland and is hell bent upon converting IIOJK’s Muslim majority into a minority. Reviving pre-Islamic Hindu civilization in the occupied territory is the goal of BJP and RSS,” he lamented. »

Geneva, October 02 (KMS): The speakers at a press conference in Geneva have sought urgent attention of the global community towards the impending humanitarian crisis in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The speakers of the press conference said that over a year-long undeclared military siege in IIOJK is a challenge to the world conscience.

The press conference, held on the sidelines of the ongoing 45th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, was addressed by President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir, UK, Fahim Kiyani. Former president of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Mr Morgan Lykketoft and Chairman of Kashmir Institute of International Relations (KIIR) Altaf Hussain Wani attended and addressed the event through video link. They said, “Besides leaving undeletable and devastating impacts on the Kashmiris’ psyche, the unrelenting siege, on one hand, left the economy of the territory in doldrums, while on the other, it has enormously affected the education and health sectors at a time when it was hit by the novel coronavirus.” »

Srinagar, October 02 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops had set on fire Handwara Bazaar in Kupwara district on October 01, 1990, turning the entire bazaar and residential houses into a heap of ashes besides martyring 27 Kashmiris and injuring around 150 others.

Eyewitnesses of this heinous massacre told media that they would never forget this day. They said that the Indian troops had not only burnt the bazaar of the town and a part of the residential area but also opened fire on innocent people, killing 27 people on the spot. »

Srinagar, October 02 (KMS): Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Muslim-majority region of Kargil is simmering with anger and resentment against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Indian government’s policies.

Various political and religious leaders from the Shia Muslim majority region of Kargil had upped the ante against the BJP government and refused to align with Buddhist dominated Leh leadership on the grant of 6th schedule and other demands.

Reportedly, the leadership cutting across party lines in Kargil recently told a BJP deputed emissary, Imran Reza Ansari, who was sent there to tame the tempers, in categorical terms that they reject the post August 5 position and wanted to be part of Jammu and Kashmir and wouldn’t accept anything less than it. Modi government had sent Imran Reza Ansari to Kargil in order to pacify the region’s restive population. »

Islamabad, October 02 (KMS): A protest demonstration was held under the auspices of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter in front of National Press Club in Islamabad on the International Day of Non-Violence, today.

The Hurriyat leaders on the occasion strongly condemned the Indian state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They deplored that India was committing genocide of Kashmiris by killing innocent youth to change the Muslim majority of the territory into minority. »

Indian Army plans to buy 10 lakh hand grenades | India News | Zee NewsNew Delhi, October 02 (KMS): The Indian Army will do away with its World War II vintage design hand grenade as the Defence Ministry has signed a Rs 409 crore contract for procurement of new 10 lakh multi-mode hand grenades.

The ministry’s acquisition wing signed a contract with Nagpur-based Economic Explosive Ltd (Solar Group) for supply of the new grenades.

The multi-mode hand grenade has been designed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s Terminal Ballistic Research Laboratories (TBRL) and is being produced by EEL, Nagpur. »
