Srinagar, October 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has termed the plight of hundreds of Kashmiri political prisoners languishing in different jails in and outside the territory worse than the victims of Nazi concentration camps.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that New Delhi in its fit of rage was subjecting the prisoners to the worst kind of political vendetta.

Kashmiri political prisoners after being framed in fabricated cases are subjected to unparalleled atrocities during police and judicial custody, denied every basic human right and facility, which the political prisoners are entitled according to international law, he added. »

Srinagar, October 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Indian forces launched the CASO in the Nowpora village of the district.

An official told media that the whole area had been sealed and searches were underway.

Srinagar, October 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, several Panchs from Zachaldara, Handwara, have resigned from their positions in protest against the anti-people policies of the authorities.

In their resignation letter to District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) of Kupwara, the Panchs said: “. . . (W)e the Panchs of Panchayat/Halqa Behnipora (Tehsil Zachaldara Handwara) are hereby submitting this resignation letter from the elected posts of Panchayat before you for further course of necessary action.” »

Srinagar, October 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Chairman of Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami, Khadim Hussain has said that India has crossed every limit of brutality to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom movement.

Khadim Hussain while addressing a party meeting after being elected as Tehreek-e-Wahdat Chairman in Srinagar, today, said that the BJP government was hell-bent on turning the Muslim majority Kashmir into a minority area but the Kashmiri people would thwart all its nefarious designs with determination and unity. He said that he would do his best to fulfill the responsibilities assigned to him by the party. »

Srinagar, October 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in High Court of the territory, seeking investigation into fake encounter killing of three labourers by Special Investigation Team other than police to be monitored by the court.

The petition has been filed in respect of the killing of Ibrar Ahmad (18), Mohammad Ibrar (21) and Imtiaz Ahmad (26 years), by Dr Sandeep Mawa, a Medical Doctor, who is functioning as a Chairman of the Jammu & Kashmir Reconciliation Front. »

Srinagar, October 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum visited residences of martyrs Ajaz Ahmed Reshi and Sajjad Ahmad Sofi in Samboora and Awantipora areas of Pulwama district to express solidarity with the bereaved families.

The delegation was led by JKYSF Chairman Umar Aadil Dar. Others who accompanied him included Tawseef Ahmed, Advocate Asif Baba, Mohammad Faisal and Mohammad Rafiq. The delegation paid rich tributes to martyrs Aijaz and Sajjad and hoped that the day was not far when the Kashmiris would enjoy the freedom as a result of these sacrifices. »

Srinagar, October 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the bodies of three labourers from Rajouri, who were killed in a fake encounter by Indian Army in Shopian in July, were exhumed and later laid to rest in their hometown in Rajouri district by the family members.

On July 18, Indian Army had killed three youth during a cordon and search operation in Amshipora area of Shopian and passed them on as “unidentified militants”. However, the victims were later identified by their families through the pictures released by the army as Imtiyaz Ahmed, Abrar Ahmed and Muhammad Ibrar from Rajouri, who had gone to the Kashmir Valley in search of work.

The exhumation was done late on Friday night at Gantamulla area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir. »

New Delhi, October 04 (KMS): The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested a group of four Kashmiri youth in the Indian capital.

The youth identified as Altaf Ahmad Dar (25), a resident of Pulwama, Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani (27), Ishfaq Majeed Koka (28) and Aqib Safi (22), all residents of Shopian, were nabbed from central Delhi’s ITO area. »
