Srinagar, October 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir has strongly condemned the illegal and unlawful detention of its Chairman, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, who has been continuously behind the bars since July 11, 2020.

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “There is no option to remain silent against the Indian fascism and hegemonic designs. Supremacy of India is not acceptable to any freedom loving person.”

While expressing serious concern over the security and safety of Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and other pro-freedom leaders and activists in jails, the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat said that India, which is involved in custodial killings, arrests and disappearances and rape and repression cannot be trusted. “Indian state terrorism has entered its fourth decade, its intensity, magnitude and methods have crossed every limit,” it added. »

Srinagar, October 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has condemned the Indian aggression against the innocent people of Kashmir and reiterated that despite all difficulties they would continue to fight it.

The APHC in a meeting held in Srinagar, today, with General Secretary, Moulvi Bashir Ahmad in chair, vowed to continue the struggle in accordance with the guiding principles and added that under no circumstances India would be allowed to succeed in its nefarious designs.

It was said in the meeting that the sacrifices rendered by the people for the success of the liberation movement would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be taken to its logical conclusion.

The participants of the meeting decided that despite all restrictions, they would intensify mass contact campaign and would stand by the people in their grief to alleviate their problems. »

Srinagar, October 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian authorities have arrested more than 150 young students in Bandipora district during the past two months.

A delegation from Bandipora while talking to the Chairman of Muslim Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Dar in Srinagar disclosed that the students were arrested during nocturnal raids on their houses by Indian forces.

The delegation informed the Hurriyat leader that besides physically torturing the boys in front of their family members, the forces’ personnel were harassing women and children and ransacking properties during the raids in the disricgt. »

Srinagar, October 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in another move to further decentralize IIOJK territory and deprive local politicians and institutions of the say, if any, the Modi-led fascist Indian government has amended the J&K Panchayati Raj Act 1989.

In order to pave the way for replacement of District Development Boards by District Development Councils (DDCs), each district will be divided into 14 territorial constituencies for which elections will be held, and the winners will elect a chairperson and a vice-chairperson from amongst themselves. The councils will replace the District Development Boards, which before revocation of IIJ&K’s special status, were chaired by a minister or a minister of state. »

Srinagar, October 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was injured in a grenade attack in Pulwama district, today.

The ASI was injured in the attack by unknown men in Tral area of the district.

A police officer told media men that the CRPF officer received splinter injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. »

The youth identified as Haris Sharif Rather, a resident of Zaffran Colony, Pampore, has been arrested in Pampore area of the district.

The police have claimed that the arrested youth is a militant.

Jammu, October 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the apathy of Modi-led fascist Indian government towards the problems of the Kashmiri people even forced panchs and sarpanches to shun silence and raise their voice against the discriminatory treatment to the people of the territory.

Sarpanches under the chairmanship of Sarpanch Ravinder Singh Lablu at a press conference in Samba, Jammu, strongly demanded resumption of 4G internet service in the territory. They said that students studying online after closure of the colleges and schools are facing problems due to shutting down of the high speed internet service in Kashmir. He said no attention is paid to the grave problem by the authorities. He said that mobile companies in the territory were charging full amount of recharge but are not giving them enough 2G speed. »

Srinagar, October 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azaddi, Abdul Samad Inqilabi has said that India has continued its policy of suppressing the voice of the people of Kashmir through brutal means and tactics.

Abdul Samad Inqilabi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that as a result of the genocidal policy of the Indian forces, more than seven lakh people had been martyred and tens of thousands injured since July 13, 1931. More than 10,000 people had been disappeared after their arrest, he added.

He deplored that as a result of these killings, thousands of women had become widows while lakhs of children had been orphaned. At present many Hurriyat leaders and activists have been languishing in different jails of India and the territory, he added. »
