Srinagar, November 13 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops launched a cordon and search operation in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, today.

The troops cordoned off Rohmu area of the district and launched house to house searches. The troops have sealed all entry and exit points of the area. »

Indian authorities extend ban on high speed internet in IIOJK

Srinagar, November 13 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has deplored that India is subjecting the Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders to the worst kind of political vengeance for their rightful political beliefs and their just stance on the Kashmir dispute.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Kashmiri detainees including Hurriyat leaders and activists like Muhammad Yasin Malik, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Aasiya Andrabi, Masarrat Alam Butt, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Peer Saifullah, Ayaz Muhammad Akbar, Merajuddin Kalwal, Ghulam Muhammad Butt, Naheeda Nasreen, Fehmeeda Sofi, Dr Shafi Shariyati, Ghulam Qadir Butt, Sheikh Nazir Ahmed and Muhammad Ayub Mir were being subjected to inhuman treatment in various jails of IIOJK and India. He said that these detainees were being denied even basic facilities including hygienic food and medical care to punish them for resisting India’s illegal occupation of their homeland. He appealed to the world human rights bodies to take cognizance of the miserable plight of the Kashmiri prisoners and play role in their release. »

Islamabad, November 13 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the morale of Indian troops is at the lowest ebb as incidents of suicide among the Indian forces’ personnel are showing an upward trend in the territory.

An analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service said 479 Indian troops have committed suicide in the occupied territory since January 2007. It said that psychological cases are also on the rise in Indian army personnel serving in the territory. »

Srinagar, November 13 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Friday joined the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), an amalgam of several parties in the territory seeking restoration of the special status of Kashmir.

Two Congress leaders participated in a meeting of the alliance at PDP president Mehbooba Mufti’s ‘Fairview’ residence at Gupkar in Srinagar. Mufti is also the vice chairman of the alliance, led by National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah. »

Islamabad, November 13 (KMS): An important meeting of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of its Convener, Mustafa Muhammad Hussain Khateeb.

Hurriyat leaders addressing on the occasion said that India had virtually turned Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir into a military garrison. They said India claims itself the largest democracy of the world but its Army is involved in massive human rights abuses in the occupied territory. »

PSA slapped on three drug peddlers in Kashmir - Greater Jammu || The Daily News Paper

Islamabad, November 13 (KMS): The Jammu and Kashmir Young Mens League (JKYML) and Jammu and Kashmir Students Youth Forum have condemned the arrest and slapping of draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) by the authorities on their activists in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The JKYML Vice Chairman, Zahid Ashraf in a statement issued in Islamabad strongly denounced the arrest of party office bearer and prominent freedom activist, Siraj Ahmed Yatoo. He said that the arrest was arbitrary and the slapping of PSA manifested the height of injustice and crude suppression. »

Srinagar, November 13 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, unidentified gunmen hurled a grenade at the Pulwama police station.

No casualties were reported. However, the blast spread panic in the area.

Media reports said, unidentified gunmen attacked the police station with a grenade at around 9:00pm on Thursday, which exploded with a loud blast near the police station. »

Islamabad, November 13 (KMS): A senior Indian diplomat was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad, today, to register Pakistan’s strong protest over ceasefire violations by the Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC), yesterday.

The ceasefire violations resulted in the martyrdom of one innocent civilian and serious injury to three others.

Due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by the Indian forces in Rakhchikri and Khanjar Sector of the LoC, 55 years old Muhammad Bashir son of Shah Wali, resident of Tari Band village Rakhchikri Sector embraced shahadat; 23 years old Naveed Iqbal, son of Haji Iqbal; 45 years old Farzana Kausar wife of Haji Iqbal and 19 yearsa old Tayyabah Kausar wife of Naveed Iqbal, residents of Samni village Khanjar Sector, sustained serious injuries. »

Muzaffarabad, November 13 (KMS): A public awareness campaign against Indian atrocities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir was launched in Muzaffarabad, today.

The campaign was launched under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir at Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk.

A statement issued by Pasban-e-Hurriyat said fifty teams have been formed in different mosques to distribute 50,000 pamphlets in connection with the Right to Self-Determination Rally to be held on November 19 from Upper Adda to Press Club in Muzaffarabad. »
