Srinagar, November 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, General Secretary of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Molvi Bashir Ahmad has applauded Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram for presenting a resolution on the right to self-determination in the UN General Assembly and getting unanimous support from delegates of 71 countries.

Molvi Bashir Ahmad in a statement issued in Srinagar urged the international community to fulfill its promise of right to self-determination with the Kashmiris.

A key committee of the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted the resolution reaffirming the right to self-determination for people who are subjected to colonial, foreign and alien occupation. Co-sponsored by 71 countries, the resolution, submitted by Pakistan, was adopted without a vote in the 193-member Assembly’s Third Committee, which deals with Social, humanitarian and cultural issues. »

Islamabad, November 22 (KMS): The Organization of Islamic Corporation (OIC) has time and again pledged its unstinted support to the Kashmir cause.

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service said the OIC has passed a number of resolutions condemning Indian atrocities against the Kashmiris and is committed to finding a peaceful settlement to the Kashmir dispute as per the relevant UN resolutions.

The report said the OIC is consistently issuing statements supportive of the UN resolutions on Kashmir much to India’s dismay. It said Pakistan has always played leading role to convene meetings of OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir, adding that the OIC should redouble its efforts to help struggling Kashmiris attain freedom from Indian bondage. »

Srinagar, November 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Civil Society Forum has demanded immediate release/shifting of Kashmiri detainees who have been languishing in different Indian jails for years now.

The JKCSF Chairman, Abdul Qayoom Wani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that thousands of people of IIOJK comprising political, non-political and religious leaders had been languishing in jails for years now and nobody talks about their plea and future. »

Srinagar, November 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the President of Peoples Democratic Party, Mehbooba Mufti has said that the Indian government is sabotaging the participation of political parties other than the BJP in the District Development Council (DDC) polls by not allowing them to campaign freely.

Islamabad, November 22 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu & Kashmir Salvation Moment, Altaf Ahmad Butt, has called on the international community and human rights organizations to take cognizance of India’s cowardly firing on the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Kashmir and loss of civilian lives on the daily basis.

Altaf Ahmad Butt said this while talking to the heirs of the martyrs and the families affected by the Indian shelling, during his visit to Muzaffarabad and Neelum Valley. Jammu, November 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, an Indian army soldier committed suicide in Poonch district.

The deceased soldier belonged to Indian Army’s 39 Rashtriya Rifles. Havaldar Rajender Singh ended his life with his service rifle at Nambal post at Salootri in Poonch district. »
