Posters reiterate freedom only way out

Srinagar, November 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the realization of fighting a futile war against an entire population of the disputed territory has landed Indian forces’ personnel posted in IIOJK in a morale crisis.

A report released by Srinagar-based Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, said that the phenomenon of committing suicide among the troops shows an upward trend with 38 soldiers taking their life, this year so far, in IIOJK as against 16 in 2019. As many as 481 Indian troops have committed suicide in the territory since January 2007. The report citing defense analysts said that frustrated Indian Army cannot fight valiant Kashmiris, and the characterless Indian Army is no match for resilient Kashmiri people. »

Srinagar, November 24 (KMS): The High Court of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has directed the authorities to release a Kashmiri youth, Gulzar Ahmad Ganai detained under black law Public Safety Act, forthwith.

A bench of Justice Ali Mohammad said that the detainee— Gulzar Ahmad Ganai— was denied valuable right of effective representation against the order of detention and quashed his detention which was passed by the deputy commissioner of the South Kashmir district on August 8 last year.

Islamabad, November 24 (KMS): Jammu and Kashmir Vice Chairman of Tehreek-e-Istiqlal Mushtaq Ahmed Butt has said that women in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are facing mental and physical torture as well as sexual harassment by Indian troops.

Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, in a statement issued on the eve of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, said Indian forces are also torturing Kashmiri women mentally through frequent raids and enforced disappearance of their loved ones by the occupational troops. »

Srinagar, November 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian state terrorism continues to take heavy toll on Kashmiris for the past over seven decades.

An analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, said Indian forces are involved in worst form of state terrorism in IIOJK. New Delhi has intensified its oppression since 5 August 2019 in IIOJK. It said that 256 Kashmiris killed since 5 Aug, last year to 31 October 2020 in the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, November 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Chairman, Mohammad Ahsan Untoo has expressed deep shock over the continued unlawful and immoral detention of Kashmiri women leaders Aasiya Andrabi, Fahmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen.

Untoo in a statement issued in Srinagar urged the international human rights groups to impress upon India for the release of the proud daughters of Kashmir, who are behind the bars for the past more than three years. »

Islamabad, November 24 (KMS): Indian forces’ personnel posted particularly in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are facing a morale crisis as 481 have committed suicide since January 2007 in the territory.

There is an upward suicide trend among the forces’ personnel as 38 soldiers have taken their life, so far this year, in IIOJK as against 16 in 2019.

Besides, psychological cases are also on the rise among Indian army personnel serving in the territory. »

New Delhi, November 24 (KMS): The Indian government has blocked 43 more mobile apps, mostly Chinese, citing security concerns.

Four apps owned by China’s retail giant, the Alibaba Group, are on the latest banned list.

The Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said today that the apps were banned under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act. »

New Delhi, November 24 (KMS): Bharatiya Janata Party leader Zulfikar Qureshi was killed and his son injured after they were attacked by a group of men in northeast Delhi’s Nandnagri area, police said.

The incident took place early in the morning, the other day, when Qureshi and his 22-year-old son were taking a stroll near their house. Qureshi was shot on his head, while his son was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon. »

Islamabad, November 24 (KMS): Pakistan has called on the United Nations Security Council to prevent India from carrying out its “criminal colonial project” to convert occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s Muslim majority into a minority.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in a letter to the Security Council President for the current month said it is the 15-member body’s “direct responsibility to do this under the UN resolutions.

The Foreign Minister drew the UNSC President attention to highly concerning developments in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, grave human rights violations, illegal demographic changes and escalating threats to peace and security. »
