Niamey Niger, November 28 (KMS): The OIC Council of Foreign Ministers at its 47th session in Niamey, Niger has adopted a resolution reaffirming its strong support for Kashmir cause.

The OIC categorically rejected illegal and unilateral actions taken by India since 5 August 2019 to change the internationally recognized disputed status of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), and demanded that India rescind its illegal steps.

In a comprehensive and strongly worded Resolution, the OIC demanded India to cancel the issuance of domicile certificates to non-Kashmiris and revoke all unilateral and illegal actions in IIOJK, while refraining from taking any step to alter the existing demographic structure of the disputed territory. »

Niamey Niger, November 28 (KMS): The Organisation of Islamic cooperation has reaffirmed its stand on the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir lamenting that the dispute continues with no apparent signs of delivering on the seven decades old promise of the international community to decide the fate of Kashmiri people as per their aspirations.

In a report of the OIC Secretary General submitted to the 47th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers held in Niamey, Niger it has been said, the decision of the Indian government on 5 August 2019 towards changing the demographic composition of the territory, and the continuous blockade and restrictions together with human rights abuses had awakened renewed efforts of the international community towards a resolution of the conflict. The matter was brought to the UN Security Council after many decades, the report added. »

Niamey, Niger, November 28 (KMS): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir President, Sardar Masood Khan has called upon the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to intervene to save Kashmiris from ethnic cleansing, state terrorism and the oppressive settler-colonialism of India. He said that Kashmiris were experiencing the worst Islamophobia in the world.

Addressing as the true representative of the Kashmiri people the second working session of the 47th OIC Foreign Ministers Council on Saturday, he said, “The Kashmiri people were looking towards 1.8 billion Muslims and 57 Islamic states for help to rescue them from the evil clutches of an aggressor country which is poised to eliminate them en-mass. »

The participation of Kashmiri representatives in the OIC meeting belies Indian propaganda that Kashmir dispute is not on the agenda of the Muslim forum.  Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mehmood Qureshi took up the issue of massive human rights abuses by Indian troops in IIOJK in strongest words saying India is committing genocide of Kashmirs. Meanwhile, Niger, Turkey and Saudi Arabia raised the Kashmir issue with Riyadh saying that peace in the region is not possible without resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

Srinagar, November 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi, Abdul Samad Inqilabi has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’s uncle, Molvi Ali Muhammad Jan, who passed away in Srinagar, yesterday.

Abdul Samad Inqilabi in a statement issued in Srinagar paid rich tributes to him and said that the deceased was a religious, political and social leader, who has served the people of Jammu and Kashmir at various levels.

The Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar in a statement in Islamabad expressed solidarity with the bereaved family members. »

An analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, said that Modi-led fascist Indian government has arrested 13,862 Kashmiri civilians just from August 5, 2019 to October 2020. It added that the prisoners are confined to cells and denied medical treatment in Indian jails. »

Srinagar, November 28 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, traffic on Srinagar-Leh highway remained suspended on the sixth consecutive day today due to slides at several places along the road.

The highway was closed on Monday after fresh snowfall on the Zojila pass and Drass areas. An official said that though the snow clearance on the highway was completed on Thursday, however some fresh snowslides occurred at few places between zero point Zojila and India gate “resulting in further closure of the road”. »
