Indian troops martyred 263 Kashmiris in 2020

Srinagar, December 31 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed, tomorrow, to condemn the killing of innocent youth in fake encounters by Indian troops.

Call for the strike has been given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and supported by Hurriyat leaders and organizations including Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League. Anti-India and pro-freedom protest demonstrations will be held after Friday prayers. The APHC spokesman in a statement in Srinagar emphasised that every Kashmiri was determined to achieve freedom despite Indian brutalities. »

Srinagar, December 31 (KMS): Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, marred by killings, crackdowns, arrests, anti-India protests and prolonged military siege the year 2020 happened to be the most brutal and agonizing for the oppressed and hapless people of the territory.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred 263 innocent Kashmiris including 5 women and 11 teenagers during the year. »

Srinagar, December 31 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Hurriyat leaders and organisations have condemned the killing of three Kashmiri youth by Indian forces in a fake encounter.

The Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement expressed deep sorrow and anguish over the killing of three youth. The forum quoting the grandfather of Aijaz Maqbool, one of the three martyrs, said that he had tea with his grandson that morning and was dragged out of the car on his way to Srinagar and shot dead extra-judicially. The statement said that gruesome killings were heart wrenching. The forum said that the dubious encounters mostly involving the youth, routinely take place in IIOJ&K as there is no accountability for such killings. »

Muzaffarabad, December 31 (KMS): Anti-India protest demonstration was held in Muzaffarabad to denounce the killing of three innocent youth by Indian troops in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, yesterday.

The protest was led by the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Istiqlal Youth Wing Tanveer Durrani on the call of party Vice Chairman Mushtaq Ahmad Butt. It was attended by a large number of youth. The protesters raised anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. »

Srinagar, December 31 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a complete shutdown was observed in Shopian and Pulwama districts to mourn the killings of three youth by Indian troops in a fake counter in Srinagar, yesterday.

All shops and business establishments were closed while traffic was off the roads.

The youth, two from Pulwama and one from Shopian, were killed in a fake encounter by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Srinagar. »

Islamabad, December 31 (KMS): The President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir, UK, Raja Fahim Kayani has said that Kashmiris have made great sacrifices for their birthright to self-determination while India has failed to suppress their freedom sentiment despite all its tactics of oppression.

Raja Fahim Kayani expressed these views during a meeting with the leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter in Islamabad. The Chairman of Kashmir Forum, France, Chaudhry Naeem was also present on the occasion.
Raja Fahim Kayani said that Kashmiri people were currently the worst victims of Indian state terrorism. He said that greater unity was need of the hour, adding: “We should play our role to further strengthen the Hurriyat Conference. »

Srinagar, December 31 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a Sub-Inspector of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was injured on Thursday evening in grenade a grenade attack in Sangam area of Islamabad district.

Unknown attackers lobbed the grenade at a checkpoint of CRPF’s 90 Battalion. »

Srinagar, December 31 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a goldsmith was shot dead by unknown gunmen on Thursday evening in Sarai Bala area of Srinagar.

The deceased has been identified as Satpal Nischal, owner of Nischal Jewelers. »

Islamabad/ Bradford, December 31 (KMS): The Jammu and Kashmir Movement for Right to Self-Determination International wrote a letter to European Members of Parliament, British Members of Parliament, British Government, including British Prime Minister to draw their attention towards the order of an Indian court about framing of charges against senior Kashmiri woman leader Aasiya Andrabi and other Hurriyat leaders.

The letter, written by Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Movement for Right to Self-Determination International Raja Najabat Hussain, asked for taking an immediate action judicial vicitimisation of Aasiya Andrabi. »
