APHC urges UN to resolve Kashmir dispute

Srinagar, December 07 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, after destroying houses of Muslims in Jammu and in Pahlgam area of Islamabad district, now Modi-led fascist Indian government has issued eviction notices to Kashmiri Muslims living in Badgam district.

The locals told media that the authorities had started demolishing their houses and chopping down apple trees in Branwar, Kanidajan and several other areas of the district. The residents including a 108 years old woman said that they had been living there for generations, and would not leave the areas even if they were killed by the Modi government. It goes without saying that driven by Hindutva mindset, the RSS-backed Indian government is working on an Israeli plan to change the demography of the occupied territory by settling Indian army officers, soldiers and Hindus from India on the forcibly vacated land in IIOJK. »

Srinagar, December 07 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has urged the international community to take notice of the ongoing Indian state terrorism in the territory.

APHC Secretary General Molvi Bashir Ahmad in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the UN Security Council has passed several resolutions on Kashmir wherein the world body promised the right to self-determination to the Kashmiri people. He said that 72 years have elapsed since these resolutions were passed but the issue still remains unresolved. He said that Kashmiri people are witnessing massacres on daily basis. He called upon the international community to hold referendum in occupied Jammu and Kashmir as per the relevant UN resolutions to avert more killings in IIOJK where one generation after another is falling prey to the unresolved Kashmir dispute. »

Srinagar, December 07 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India is deliberately prolonging illegal detention of Kashmiri prisoners for their political beliefs.

According to an analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service, by practicing all methods of coercion to punish the Kashmiris, New Delhi has arrested over 13000 Kashmiri civilians since August 5, 2019.

Besides, the report added, India is denying space to Hurriyat leaders by repeatedly arresting them on fake charges while draconian PSA is being used against the leaders and ordinary Kashmiris to force them into submission, which is the worst form of political vendetta. »

Mumbai, December 07 (KMS): Sabha Hussain, partner of civil rights campaigner Gautam Navlakha, has said that the Taloja Jail authorities in Mumbai have refused to accept a parcel containing the spectacles of Gautam Navlakha.

Gautam Navlakha Navlakha is an accused in the Bhima Koregaon violence of 2018.

Sabha Hussain in a statement on Monday said that the 70-year-old activist’s spectacles were stolen on November 27 and that he is already suffering from several ailments. “It was an emergency, for he is close to blind without his glasses,” the statement said. “Yet, he was not permitted to call his home for a replacement until three days later, but even that call proved futile,” it added. »

Islamabad, December 07 (KMS): A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Lawyers Forum led by its Chairman, Khaliq-ur-Rehman Saifi called on the Hurriyat representatives in Islamabad, today, and presented various proposals regarding the Kashmir dispute.

Hurriyat leaders, welcoming the suggestions, said that we would implement these suggestions together. The Hurriyat leaders said that India had practically turned illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir into a military garrison. They said that the Indian Army, a claimant of so-called democracy and secularism, was involved in massive human rights violations in IIOJK. »

New Delhi, December 07 (KMS): Indian police arrested three Kashmiri youth in Indian capital, New Delhi.

Delhi police claimed that the youth were arrested during a search operation after gunshots were heard in Shakarpore area of the city.

Police arrested three youth from IIOJK and two from Punjab, India.

Political analysts who keep a close watch on Narendra Modi regime’s latest moves say that the incident could have been the brainchild of the Hindutva mindset to defame Pakistan as well as freedom movement in Kashmir. »

Srinagar, December 07 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the students of Cluster University of Kashmir (CUK) staged a protest demonstration in Srinagar against internet gag, saying the process of learning through so-called online mode has ruined their academic year.

Srinagar, December 07 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a teenage boy was found dead under mysterious conditions on intervening night of Sunday and Monday in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Apolice official told media that his family members spotted the body inside his house in Manzgam area of the district.

Soon after being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the body, he said. The police identified the deceased as Rizwan Ahmad Wagay, son of Abdul Rashid Wagay. »
