Jammu, December 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a protest demonstration was organised by Jammu Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) to express solidarity with farmers of Punjab and other states of India, who are protesting against the anti-farmer laws introduced by BJP led Indian government.

Addressing the protesters, JKPM Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem, said after bringing the laws against the minorities, the RSS-backed Indian government was snatching the rights of the farmers. He said people of the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir completely stood by the farming community. »

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Asia’s second largest Sopore fruit mandi observed a complete shutdown to extend support to the strike call given by farmers in India.

The fruit mandi president, Fayaz Ahmad Malik said that they have closed all the activities and businesses in support of the strike call given by the farmers in India.

He also asked the Indian government to rollback new farm laws, immediately. »

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a vehicle carrying Indian soldiers for election duty crushed an elderly man to death in Kulgam district of south Kashmir on Tuesday evening.

Officials told media that a 64-year-old man identified as Mohammad Amin Shah was hit by a vehicle carrying the troops of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in Malpora area of Kulgam. »

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Iltija Mufti, the daughter of PDP President and former Chief Minister of IIOJK Mehbooba Mufti, has said that her mother has been placed under house arrest at her Gupkar residence in Srinagar.

Iltija Mufti in an interview in Srinagar said that Mehbooba Mufti was put under house arrest as she wanted to visit Badgam district where Gujjar families were being evicted by the authorities. She said that a heavy contingent of police and paramilitary personnel reached their residence and locked the main entry gate. »

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Muzahamat Chairman Bilal Ahmad Sidiqui has strongly denounced New Delhi’s colonial and fascist designs in the territory.

Bilal Sidiqui in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that New Delhi is actively working on its fascist agenda after 5th August 2019 to change the demographic character of the territory.

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, amid rains and harsh weather conditions, Indian troops launched a cordon and search operation in Sopore area of Baramulla district, today.

The troops sealed Goripora area of Sopore and conducted house to house searches, causing huge inconvenience to the locals. The troops sealed all entry and exit points of the area. »

Srinagar, Dec 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami has paid rich tribute to prominent freedom leader and founder of Hizb-ul-Momineen Khawaja Shuja Abbas on his first death anniversary.

TWI held a special meeting under the chair of party Chairman Khadim Hussain in Budgam to pay tribute to the late leader.

The participants of the meeting said that Khawaja Shuja Abbas belonged to a wealthy and highly educated family and if he wanted he could live a luxurious life but he had a sense of feeling against India’s illegal occupation of his motherland since childhood and he chose the path to resistance. They said that Shuja Abbas was one of the foremost leaders of the freedom movement and he had played an important role in organizing the Kashmiri people against the Indian occupation. »

Wellington, December 08 (KMS): Brenton Tarrant, the Australian-born attacker who killed 51 Muslim worshippers at two mosques in Christchurch, travelled India where he spent nearly three months, before moving to New Zealand to carry out the country’s worst massacre in March 2019, according to a detailed report into the shootings released on Tuesday.

The 792-page Royal Commission of Inquiry report notes that after leaving school, the 30-year-old attacker worked as a personal trainer at a local gym until 2012 when he suffered an injury.

“First, in 2013, he explored New Zealand and Australia and then between 2014 and 2017 he travelled extensively around the world,” it said. “The longest visit the individual made to any one country was to India where he stayed between November 21, 2015, and February 18, 2016. The countries that he visited for periods of about a month or more included China, Japan, Russia, South Korea among others,” said the report that took about 18 months to compile. The inquiry report did not provide details of what Tarrant was doing in India during his nearly three-month stay in India. »
