Muzaffarabad, December 16 (KMS): Jammu and Kashmir Pasbaan-e-Hurriyat organized a protest rally in Muzaffarabad against the continued military siege and growing Indian state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Hundreds of people participated in the rally, which was held at Burhan Wani Chowk in Muzaffarabad. They chanted anti-India and pro-freedom slogans and set Indian flag on fire.

The protesters demanded of the United Nations to implement its resolutions and hold free and fair referendum in Jammu and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, December 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League held meetings in different areas to commemorate the 27th martyrdom anniversary of mujahid commander, Abdul Khaliq Ganai alias Jamal Afghani.

A JKPFL spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that prayer meetings were particularly held in Bandipore, Sopore and Srinagar to offer Fateh for the departed soul.

Speakers on the occasion hailed his great sacrifice for the Kashmir cause and vowed to fight for freedom of Jammu and Kashmir. They rejected the corrupt and fraud elections aimed at misleading the world and diverting public attention from anger against the illegal actions taken by Modi regime on 5 August 2019 in IIOJK. »

Kanpur Shame: Army colonel on the run after allegedly raping friend's  Russian wifeNew Delhi, December 16 (KMS): An Indian Army colonel has raped his friend’s Russian wife after sedating her husband at the Officers’ Mess in Cantonment area of Kanpur, UP.

The colonel posted in Kanpur was booked on Sunday for raping his friend’s wife at the Officers’ Mess, police said.

The victim’s husband, a civilian, lodged an FIR against the Army officer at the Cantonment police station. According to the complainant, his wife is of Russian origin and has been living in India for 10 years. »

Protest, shutdown in Banihal against derogatory video | Greater KashmirSrinagar, December 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, people staged a protest demonstration in Banihal area of Ramban district in Jammu region against the anti-people policies of the authorities.

Scores of people protested in Chamalwas area of Banihal against the authorities for not compensating them for the property taken for four lane highway.

The locals said the administration wants to take away their property without addressing their concerns. »

Srinagar, December 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (JKMC), Shabbir Ahmed Dar, has expressed serious concern over the Modi government’s move to set up a special colony for retired Indian soldiers.

The occupation authorities have identified 200 kanals of land in Badgam district to set up the colony for the former Indian soldiers.

Shabbir Ahmed Dar while reacting to the move said that this sinister plan was hatched in Delhi some years back and its implementation was stopped because of the forceful resistance by the people led by Joint Resistance Leadership. Now after abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, many Indian laws have been hastily extended in the occupied territory during the ongoing military siege, he said. »

Srinagar, December 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC leader and Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement, Khawaja Firdous has said that India is deliberately targeting the business community to weaken the Kashmir’s economy.

Khawaja Firdous while addressing a condolence meeting held on the demise of Bahauddin Zargar, a leader of Kashmir Trade Union at Elahi Bagh in Srinagar, today, said that the Kashmir’s freedom movement would only succeed when if people from all walks of life give their full support to it. He said that despite Indian atrocities, all sections of Kashmir have played their part and would continue to do so. »

Srinagar, December 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam General Secretary and former Chief Engineer Muhammad Ibraheem Shah passed away at his Gogji Bagh residence in Srinagar after a brief illness.

A delegation of Anjuman led by its acting General Secretary Altaf Ahmad Butt and comprising Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon, M S Rehman Shams, Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, Muhammad Yousuf Butt and other members and activists participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased. The funeral was led by Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon. »

Srinagar, December 16 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the night temperatures in the Kashmir Valley dipped below the freezing point, leading to severely cold weather.

Meteorological department officials in Srinagar said that the night temperatures in the Valley dipped below the freezing point owing to a clear sky.

All weather stations in the Valley recorded sub-zero night temperatures several degrees below the normal for this part of the season, the officials said.

They said the temperature in Gulmarg, the famous ski-resort in north Kashmir, settled at a low of minus 10.2 degrees Celsius, which is six degrees below the normal for this time of the season. The resort was the coldest recorded place, they said. »

An analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, pointed out that India is employing rape as a military tactic to punish and humiliate the Kashmiris for resisting its illegal occupation of their homeland.

The report said that Indian troops have molested 11,231 women since January 1989 till date in IIOJK. It said the mass rape of Kunanposhpora, rape and murder of two women in Shopian and a minor girl, Aasifa Bano, in Kathua area of Jammu region are glaring examples of this brutality committed by Indian forces’ personnel in the occupied territory. »
