Islamabad, December 18 (KMS): Foreign Office has emphatically stated that India will face an assured notch up military response if it resorted to any ill-considered misadventure against Pakistan.

At his weekly news briefing in Islamabad today, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said Pakistan has credible information that New Delhi is planning to undertake a military misadventure across the Line of Control for which it is trying to seek understanding from major powers.

The spokesperson said Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to defeat Indian designs. Any miscalculation will result in global embarrassment for India as it faced last year. »

Islamabad, December 18 (KMS): Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, has said that India is planning a surgical strike against Pakistan to divert attention from its serious internal issues.

Addressing a news conference in Abu Dhabi today (Friday), he disclosed that India has also tried to seek a tacit approval in this regard from the important players which they consider to be their partners.

Terming it a serious development, he drew attention towards the mounting Indian internal issues. He said the situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has deteriorated. There is a countrywide protests of farmers in India because of the policies of BJP government. He said the protest is growing as the opposition parties, lawyers, the civil society and trade unions have also expressed their support for the farmers. The way Indian authorities handled the COVID-19 situation is known to everybody which has impacted their economy. The minorities in India are also increasingly uncomfortable. »

Islamabad, December 18 (KMS): Indian Army resorted to unprovoked fire in Chirikot Sector of Line of Control (LoC) targeting a United Nations vehicle with two Military Observers on board.

In a statement, published on twitter today (Friday), Director General Inter Services Public Relations, Major General Babar Iftikhar, said that the UN vehicle was enroute to interact with victims of ceasefire violations in Polas Village in Chirikot Sector when Indian troops deliberately targeted it.

He said it must be noted that the UN vehicles are clearly recognisable even from long distances due to their distinct make and type and clearly visible markings. »

Srinagar, December 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the families of three Srinagar youth, Zahid Farooq Khan, Asif Ahmad Butt and Shahid Ahmad Mir, staged a protest at Press Enclave, today, against Indian police.

The family members of Zahid Farooq Khan of Nowhatta, Srinagar, Asif Ahmad Butt of Rehmania Colony Srinagar, and Shahid Ahmed Mir from Khaniyar appeared with placards and banners at Press Enclave.

The protesting families said that the police were implicating Asif Ahmed Butt, Zahid Farooq Khan and Shahid Ahmad Mir in the murder of noted lawyer, Babar Qadri. They termed the arrest of their dear ones arbitrary. They also demanded a proper enquiry into the whole incident by independent investigating agencies. »

Srinagar, December 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the unabated Indian state terrorism over the last 73 years has taken a heavy toll on the lives of the people of the territory.

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of International Migrants Day, today, revealed that while over 400,000 Kashmiris have been martyred more than 3.5 million others have been rendered migrants due to the lingering Kashmir dispute caused by India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir in 1947. The report maintained that the Indian atrocities during the last over seven decades forced thousands of Kashmiris to leave IIOJK and take shelter in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, UK, US, Canada and other countries. It said that during the last thirty one years alone, the Indian state terrorism compelled forty thousand Kashmiris to migrate and live outside the occupied territory as refugees and migrants. These Kashmiris live in different refugee camps in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan. »

Srinagar, December 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a youth who was injured in the firing of Indian troops, yesterday, succumbed to his injuries in a hospital in Srinagar, today.

The youth, Zaheer Abbas Lone, was shot at and critically injured by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation at Gund Baba Khaleel in Islamabad district, yesterday. He succumbed to his injuries at SMHS hospital in Srinagar, today.

Islamabad, December 18 (KMS): Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Senator Shibli Faraz, has said that India is not only employing brutal tactics to alter the demography of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir but it is also fomenting terrorism in Pakistan.

In a tweet today, he said India has been running a vicious propaganda campaign against Pakistan for years. He said international community, European Union and United Nations should take notice of such nefarious activities.

Srinagar December 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Gujjar Pahari Democratic Forum, Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal has said that the ongoing Kashmir liberation movement has entered a decisive phase and the brave people are struggling with the spirit and determination of “now or never” to achieve freedom from Indian clutches.

Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal, interacting with people in different villages of Kulgam district, said that the participation of highly educated people including engineers, doctors and PhD scholars in the Kashmir movement was a testament to the fact that the Kashmiri people, especially the youth, have linked their future to the success of liberation movement. »

Srinagar December 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court has quashed detention order under black law, Public Safety (PSA), against a freedom activist in the territory.

The court quashing the detention order of Suhail Ahmad Wagey directed the authorities to release him forthwith.

The Division Bench of Justice Rajnesh Oswal and Justice Sanjeev Kumar, while setting aside a single bench judgement of 28th May, 2018, recorded that the single judge has not appreciated the facts that the petitioner was not supplied with relevant documents to make an effective representation against the detention order, rendering it illegal. »
