Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a meeting of the Advisory Council [Majlis-e-Shura] of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference was held at its headquarters in Srinagar, today.

The meeting was presided over by APHC Working Vice Chairman Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar and was attended by its Secretary General Molvi Bashir Ahmad, Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal, Khawaja Firdous Ahmed, Junaid Ahmad, Hakeem Abdul Rasheed, Arshad Aziz, Hameed Elahi, Fayyaz Ahmad, Syed Muhammad Shafi and Ms. Masooda.

The meeting discussed important issues related to the Kashmir freedom struggle. »

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, posters appeared in Srinagar and
other parts of the territory, rejecting the recent electoral drama, staged by the Indian military apparatus in Kashmir.

The posters were pasted by Jammu and Kashmir Students Youth Forum.

The posters read pro-Pakistan, pro-freedom and anti-India contents.

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man was injured on Sunday evening in a grenade  attack followed by firing at a joint check-post of CRPF and police in Achabal area of Islamabad district.

A senior police officer said that the militants lobbed the grenade at the check-post. »

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum (JKYSF) visited the residence of martyr Zaheer Ahmad at Indr in Pulwama, and paid rich tributes to the martyr and his wife who also died recently and expressed solidarity and with the bereaved family members.

The party leaders including Ishfaq Rasool, Mohammad Yousuf, Tawseef Mushtaq, Muhammad Asif and Nazir Ahmed others while sharing grief with the bereaved family members urged democratic and freedom-loving countries to intervene and resolve the Kashmir dispute as per the United Nations resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. »

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a landslide struck the 270 kilometer long Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramban district on Saturday evening, leaving hundreds of Jammu-bound vehicles stranded.

The landslide hit the road at Bhoom in Chanderkote area, completely blocking the highway, the only all-weather road linking Kashmir with the rest of the world. »

Islamabad, December 20 (KMS): India is reportedly accelerating work on developing settlement camps in occupied Jammu and Kashmir by transferring land to former army soldiers, AJK President Masood Khan said.

In a statement, Khan said India under a well-thought-out policy is swiftly acting to grab Kashmiri land to turn the whole IIOJK to its colony.

“The IOJK government has expedited the process to transfer 200 kanals [25 acres] agricultural land to the ex-Indian military officials for construction of the military settlement,” he added. »

Every house hit by bullets in Indian Air Force’s firing drills

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a bullet injury to an elderly woman during the routine firing drills of Indian Air Force personnel sparked anti-India protests in Badgam district.

People blocked the Budgam-Khansaheb road demanding stern action against the Indian Air Force personnel involved in the act. The protesters said that they did not know who would be injured next after Fatima.

The 65-year-old woman, Fatima Begum, who was washing vegetables, was hit in her right leg inside her house in Wolina village of Budgam when the bullet, fired by Indian Air Force personnel, had pierced the roof of her house. In pain, Fatima fell unconscious on the floor. There was no one else in the house, so neighbours could only rush her to the hospital when they discovered her, much later. »

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian authorities have snapped the Internet services, now, in the name of so-called District Development Council elections started in the last week of November, particularly in South Kashmir.

The shutdown of the facility affected the studies and work of students, journalists and businessmen across the occupied territory. After Abrogation of Article 370, the Internet services were suspended, which were partially restored only on August 16, 2020.

A student, Nasir Hamid who is pursuing post graduation in geography from Kashmir University said that he is not able to attend his online classes since last one month. »

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a Tehreek-e-Muzahamat delegation led by party General Secretary, Muhammad Saleem Zargar, today, visited the residence of Hurriyat leader, Mushtaq Ahmed Kundu in Aanchaar area of Srinagar and expressed solidarity with him.

Indian police have summoned 16 years old son and 17 years old daughter of Mushtaq Ahmed Kundu to Humhama camp, Srinagar, for a social media post. They were harassed by Indian police. »

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) visited Al-Safa Colony, Sopore, where the members of the delegation met with the family of illegally detained youth, Feroz Ahmad Dar, who has been languishing in jail for past seven years.

The delegation comprised Zubair-ul-Islam, Yasir Ahmad, Javaid Ahmad and Sheezan.

The delegates on the occasion also congratulated the family of Feroz, who recently completed his LLB from the Department of Law in the University of Kashmir. »
