Srinagar, December 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops martyred two Kashmiri youth in Baramulla district, today.

The troops killed the youth during a cordon and search operation in Wanigam Payeen area of the district.

One of the martyred was a missing footballer of Sopore town. »

Islamabad, December 24 (KMS): London-based Kashmiri intellectual, Syed Inayatullah Andrabi, has said that the outcome of the just held District Development Council (DDC) polls in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir must be understood as a strong anti-India vote and not just a vote against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In his latest tweets, Syed Inayatullah Andrabi said that it must not also be concluded that the end result of the DDC elections was a vote for the Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), adding they have indeed won as was only expected, but the alliance and its leaders Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti and others are only incidental to the whole outcome. »

Srinagar, December 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, political experts and analysts have said that BJP’s communal, hegemonic, anti-Muslim and anti-Kashmiri policies have not only increased the hatred against the party among the Kashmiris but also strengthened the resistance movement against the illegal occupation.

The political experts and analysts in their interviews in Srinagar said the result of so-called District Development Council (DDC) elections in IIOJK reflect rejection of BJP and Indian occupation by the Kashmiris. The BJP could secure only three seats out of 140 seats in the Muslim majority Kashmir Valley in the recently concluded DDC polls. »

Six Kashmiris arrested in Pulwama 

Srinagar, December 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Indian forces launched a massive cordon and search operation (CASO) in Sopore area of Baramullah district.

The joint team of Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operation Group launched the operation in Wanigam Payeen area of the district. The operation was continuing till the last reports came in.

The locals told media that they heard several gun shots fired by Indian troops.  »

Srinagar, December 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Enforcement Directorate has seized over Rs 28 lakh cash after raiding the premises of Anjum Fazili, a close aide of PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti, in connection with a money laundering case.

The searches were conducted at the premises of the former party MLA in Srinagar and New Delhi.

Cash amounting to Rs 21,38,200 was seized from her residence in Srinagar while another Rs 662,500 was recovered from her residence in the Indian capital, the officials said. The total cash seizure stands at just over Rs 28 lakh, the officials added. »

Srinagar, December 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement, Khawaja Firdous, has paid glowing tributes to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on the eve of his 144th birth anniversary.

Khawaja Firdous in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had declared Kashmir as the jugular vein of Pakistan and that Pakistan was incomplete without it.

He said that Quaid-e-Azam was a historical figure who fought for a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent. He said that Pakistan came into being on the basis of Two-Nation Theory and this ideology also provides the basis for Kashmiris’ liberation movement. »

Islamabad, December 24 (KMS): The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has strongly condemned the recent crackdown by India police on Hurriyat leaders and political activists in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, saying that it was a clear violation of basic human rights.

The DFP Acting Chairman, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, in a statement issued in Islamabad, denouncing the illegal arrest of Hurriyat leaders, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar, Molvi Bashir Ahmed and Mushtaq-ul-Islam, termed it an attempt by the Indian authorities to suppress the voices of people struggling against the continued Indian occupation. »

Srinagar, December 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, the Chairperson of Muslim Khawateen Markaz, Yasmeen Raja, and International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Chairman, Mohammad Ahsan Untoo, today, visited Islamabad district and met with a number of people including ailing Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Ashraf Sofi.

The delegation also visited Mahaz-e- Azadi President, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, who had returned from New Delhi, India, after a surgery. »
