Srinagar, December 30 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) has rejected the recently-held elections in Jammu and Kashmir as a farce and futile exercise to hoodwink the world opinion on the Kashmir dispute.
Senior resistance leader and JKPM Chairman Mir Shahid Saleem while addressing a party meeting in Jammu said that no farce elections in Jammu and Kashmir can be an alternative to the right to self determination. He said India has conducted several sham elections in the past in the disputed territory, but the Kashmir issue still remains unresolved.
He said people of Jammu and Kashmir were being subjected to the worst kind of oppression and suppression at the hands of Indian state.
Mir Shahid Saleem called upon the international human rights organisations to take notice of the serious HR violations in Jammu and Kashmir and play its role in protecting the fundamental rights of the people.
