Srinagar, January 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army Captain, involved in the fake encounter in Shopian in July last year in which three youth were killed, had hatched a conspiracy along with two civilians with the motive for grabbing a reward money of Rs 20 lakh, says IIOJK police charge sheet.

Captain Bhoopinder Singh is currently in the custody. The case relates to the July 18, 2020 encounter at Amshipura in Shopian in which three youth of Rajouri district — Imtiyaz Ahmed, Abrar Ahmed and Mohammed Ibrar- were killed and branded as militants. »

New Delhi, January 10 (KMS): Kolkata-based diplomat and Chairman of Centre for Peace & Progress, O P Shah in a letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed concern over the killing of three youth in Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, on December 30, last year, and called for an independent inquiry into the fake encounter.

The youth, Ajaz Maqbool Ganie, Athar Mushtaq Wani and Zubair Ahmad Lone were shot at and killed by Indian troops at Lawaypora in Srinagar. »

Geneva, January 10 (KMS): The World Health Organization (WHO) has shown Jammu and Kashmir including Ladakh as a separate entity from India, rejecting Narendra Modi-led Indian government’s claims on the territory.

The WHO in a colour-coded world map posted on its official website depicts India in blue colou, while Jammu and Kashmir including Ladakh is marked with gray colour.

India’s English newspaper ‘Times of India’ while commenting on the map confirmed that Jammu and Kashmir along with Ladakh has been shown in gray, while India is seen in a different blue color. Aksai Chin is also shown in gray color, with blue stripes on it. »

Srinagar, January 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman Shabbir Ahmed Dar has hailed the World Health Organization for showing Jammu Kashmir including Ladakh a separate entity from India, as against Narendra Modi government’s claim.

The world map on WHO website shows India and Jammu Kashmir as separate entities which according to WHO spokesman is as per the guidelines provided by the United Nations.

While discarding the objection by India as unrealistic, he urged the United Nations to take concrete steps to resolve the Kashmir dispute. »

Srinagar, January 10 (KMS): In illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, 43-year-old, Saira Javid has been craving to visit her parents’ home in Azad Kashmir but cannot go back due to existing laws.

Saira, living in Kupwara, IIOJK, who traces her roots to the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir, says her ancestors came from Muzaffarabad and settled in Karachi. In 2001, she married a Kashmiri, Javid Ahmad Dar. The couple had two children and was living happily in Karachi.

Her bad days started with her arrival in Kashmir in 2011. “We returned to Kashmir on repeated insistences of my husband’s family. I was not willing to come here but Javid persuaded me,” she says. »

Srinagar, January 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement (JKEM), a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), has said that India has turned the occupied territory into a military garrison.

The JKEM spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India, which claimed to be the biggest democracy, was involved in large-scale human rights violations in IIOJK.

He said that the Kashmiri people had totally rejected the illegal occupation of India and the illegal and unilateral measures of August 5, 2019. He added that the Indian authorities had kept the Kashmiri Hurriyat leadership in jails and under house detention. Thousands of Kashmiris have been kept in jails under black laws including Public Safety Act (PSA). »

Srinagar, January 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Bon Makhama Village of Beerwah in Budgam district, today.

A joint team of army’s 2RR and police cordoned off Beerwah village of Bon Makhama and conducted house to house searches.

Islamabad, January 10 (KMS): Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Moment (JKPM), Abdul Majeed Malik has said that hundreds of innocent youth of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been languishing in different jails of India and the territory under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA).

New York, January 10 (KMS): Pakistan’s UN Ambassador, Munir Akram, has praised the “heroism” of the Kashmiri people whose third generation was keeping alive the spirit of resistance to the Indian occupation, as he underscored the need for unity among their ranks at this critical juncture.

In a keynote speech to a webinar, held on Friday in connection with the Kashmiris’ Right to Self-determination Day, Ambassador Akram assured the Kashmiri people of Pakistan’s steadfast support to their just cause.

Pakistan, he said, had re-internationalized the Kashmir issue, after it remained dormant for 15 to 20 years at the United Nations and other international forums.
“Today it (the Kashmir issue) is alive again,” the Pakistani envoy declared. »
