Islamabad, January 15 (KMS): Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, has said the recent statements of UK lawmakers about grave situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir is a manifestation that Kashmir is not an internal matter of India but an international dispute.

In a statement on Friday he said the remarks of UK lawmakers have once again exposed the real face of Indian government. He said it is endorsement of Pakistan’s narrative on the Kashmir dispute and a foreign policy success.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the situation in the occupied territory is very terrible as people are subjected to brutal oppression. Thousands of innocent people are in jails without any legal trial, he said. »

Srinagar, January 15 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has welcomed the statements of foreign ministers of Turkey and Azerbaijan and the UK Minister for Justice regarding the worst kind of human rights violations by Indian forces in the territory.

The APHC Working Vice Chairman, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar in a statement issued in Srinagar said that all the UN member states and the organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should jointly increase political and diplomatic pressure on India for a lasting solution to the Kashmir dispute. »

Srinagar, January 15 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the fresh arrest spree in the territory calling it unjustified, undemocratic and vengeful.

The Hurriyat forum in a statement issued in Srinagar said it is extremely unfortunate that on one hand, the basic human rights are continuously being trampled through military might in IIOJK, and on the other, hundreds of youth, respectable citizens, political leaders and activists who were arrested before and after August 5, 2019, continue to languish in jails, which is extremely condemnable and must be a matter of serious concern for the human rights organisations. »

Islamabad, January 15 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, women have been the worst victims of Indian state terrorism in the territory for the last over seven decades.

An analytical report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, said 2,342 women are among 95,723 Kashmiris martyred by Indian troops in the occupied territory since January 1989 till date. It maintained that the Kashmiri women have been the worst victims of the harrowing conflict, which rendered 22,923 women widowed since 1989. »

Srinagar, January 15 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a large number of people visited Mazar-e-Shuhada in Furqanabad area of Doda and paid tributes to freedom activist, Haroon Abbas Wani, on his first martyrdom anniversary.

Addressing on the occasion, the speakers reiterated the Kashmiris’ pledge to continue the struggle till accomplishment of the martyrs’ mission. They appealed to the United Nations and the international community to put pressure on India to resolve the Kashmir dispute so that permanent peace could be established in the region. »

Srinagar, January 15 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the President of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mehbooba Mufti has said that the Modi government is deliberately endangering the lives of political opponents in the territory.

A day after PDP leader, Nayeem Akhtar was shifted to hospital after being found unconscious in a makeshift jail, Mehbooba Mufti tweeted, “Nayeem Sahab’s illegal detention in a government building ill equipped for Kashmir’s biting cold finally took a toll on his health. Going by GOIs (government of India) callous and spiteful attitude it seems like they deliberately want to endanger political opponents.” »
