Islamabad, January 18 (KMS): The Senate, today, unanimously passed a resolution in favour of the Kashmiri leaders, Muhammad Yasin Malik and Aasiya Andrabi.

The Upper House strongly condemned the Indian Army’s atrocities on Kashmiri leaders and denounced the inhumane treatment meted out to them in New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail.

The Senate urged the international community to take cognizance of Indian atrocities on Kashmiri leaders and release all illegally detained Kashmiri political leaders, including Yasin Malik. »

Islamabad, January 18 (KMS): Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the leaked WhatsApp chat of Arnab Goswami has revealed the dirty nexus between the Narendra Modi government and Indian media that is pushing the nuclearised region to the brink of a conflict.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, Imran Khan said that in his address to the United Nations General Assembly he had informed the world on how India’s fascist Modi government used the “Balakot crisis for domestic electoral gains”. »

New Delhi, January 18 (KMS): A Delhi court, today, fixed Feb 1 as the next hearing date of the illegally detained Hurriyat leader and Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Aasiya Andrabi and her two associates in a false case.

Aasiya Andrabi and her associates —Fehmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen were arrested in April 2018 under sedition and have been languishing in New Delhi’s infamous Tihar jail.

The date was fixed for today for framing of charges but they could not be produced to the court today due to bad health and the judge talked to them through video conference. The next hearing will be held on February 1. »

New York, January 18 (KMS): The Secretary General of World Kashmir Awareness Forum, Ghulam Nabi Fai has urged the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres to use his influence with the Indian government to release the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik on humanitarian grounds.

Illegally detained Muhammad Yasin Malik is currently languishing in New Delhi’s Tihar jail.

Ghulam Nabi Fai in a statement issued in New York said, “Mr Malik has multiple serious medical illnesses, including heart problems, chronic kidney damage, eye injury and partial hearing loss from torture, and he remains in solitary confinement with no access to proper medical care.” »

Srinagar, January 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities have given their go-ahead to police for prosecution of illegally detained senior Hurriyat leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah under the black law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in a six-year-old fake case.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah was arrested by the Indian Enforcement Directorate in July 2017 in a false case of money laundering and since then, he is in jail. »

Call for shutdown in Srinagar on Gaw Kadal massacre day

Srinagar, January 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, posters have appeared in Srinagar and adjoining areas asking people to observe shutdown in the city on January 21 to mark the 31st martyrdom anniversary of Gaw Kadal massacre.

Over 50 people were killed and hundreds others were injured when Indian troops had opened fire on peaceful protesters in Gaw Kadal area of Srinagar on January 21 in 1990. The demonstrators were protesting against the molestation of several women by the troops in the area. »

Srinagar, January 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami has said that the WhatsApp messages of Arnab Goswami, the head of Republic Television in India, have once again exposed the ugly face of Modi government.

Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the said messages have sealed the fact that the February 14, 2019, attack on the Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force in Pulwama district was staged by the Modi government itself. He said that Arnab Goswami’s WhatsApp messages were eye-opening to the international community and they proved that the communal government of the Bharatiya Janata Party could go to any length, even killed dozens of its own forces personnel, to defame Pakistan. »
