Srinagar, January 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, heavy deployment of Indian forces’ personnel has been made in Srinagar and other parts of the territory on the eve of shutdown, call for which has been given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference to mark the 31st anniversary of Gaw Kadal massacre.

Over 50 people were killed and hundreds others were injured when Indian troops had opened fire on peaceful protesters in Gaw Kadal area of Srinagar on January 21 in 1990. The call for the strike has been supported by other Hurriyat groups and organizations including Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League. »

Srinagar, January 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum (JKYSF) and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League have urged India to release all illegally detained Kashmiris languishing in different jails.

The JKYSF General Secretary, Zubair Ahmed, visited Larnoo Kokernag area of Islamabad district and expressed solidarity with the family of Shabbir Ahmed Padder, who is unlawfully detained in Kathua Jail in Jammu after being booked under black law Public Safety Act. »

Srinagar, January 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML), a constituent of APHC, has said that India’s brutal tactics cannot suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement.

Islamabad, January 20 (KMS): Kashmiri origin Sameera Fazili, who is the newly appointed Deputy Director of the National Economic Council of the Biden administration, has played an important role in anti-India protests in the US over the Kashmir issue.

Sameera Fazili played a key role in one of the protests within four days of abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. She supports ‘Stand with Kashmir’ (SWK), a Kashmiri diaspora-led international solidarity movement’. In August 2019, following the abrogation of Article 370, which granted special status to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) introduced her as a member of SWK. »

The Kashmiri youth, Danish Kumar hailing from Dooru area of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district, who works as a catering boy in Patiala city of Punjab was attacked by goons when he and his friends went to a salon for hair cut, police and his colleagues said. »

Srinagar, January 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the families of three youth killed by Indian troops in Lawaypora fake encounter last month have contested police claims about their kins’ involvement in militancy.

The reaction comes after Inspector General of Indian Police (IGP) Kashmir range, Vijay Kumar, claimed that ‘60 percent of data collected suggests involvement of three youth in the militancy’.
