Islamabad, January 23 (KMS): The Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) , an advocacy organisation of Indian American Muslims has released its Human Rights Compendium Series and the first report in this series called Human rights in India: Status report 2021 – Crushing Dissent, Muslim Mirror reported.

The report focuses on issues like the sedition law, hate speech, national security legislations, citizenship crisis in Assam and rest of the country, effect of Covid-19 pandemic on sanitation workers, migrant workers, fisher folk and so on. Each topic is covered in a manner that gives a brief history of the issue and the laws that work in favour or against it and the jurisprudence around it, while finally concluding with a way forward for each issue. »

Srinagar, January 23 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Administrative Council (AC), which met in Jammu, today under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, approved the adoption of Jammu & Kashmir Industrial Land Allotment Policy, 2021-30.

In addition to providing land for industries, the Jammu and Kashmir Industrial Land Allotment Policy, 2021-30 will cover land allotment for health institutions/medi-cities and educational institutions/edu-cities.

Under the policy, land will be allotted to the investors on lease for an initial period of 40 years, extendable to 99 years. »

APHC Once Again asks India to Grant Kashmiris Right of Self-Determination - BaaghiTV EnglishSrinagar, January 23 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has expressed deep concern over the plight of illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in Agra and other Indian jails.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that the Kashmiri political detainees were being subjected to the worst political vendetta for their political ideology.

Citing information provided by the families of the illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists, he said, the detainees have been kept in solitary confinement in very narrow and dark cells and are being denied basic amenities including medical care and hygienic food due to which they have developed various ailments. »

Srinagar, January 23 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities have extended ban on the 4G internet service in the territory, barring two districts, till February 06, 2021.

An order issued by the authorities said the ban on 4G internet services has been extended in the territory, except Udhampur and Ganderbal districts, till 06 February. »

Muzaffarabad, January 23 (KMS): The Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali has said that India is committing genocide of Kashmiris in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Uzair Ahmad Ghazali in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad, said Indian Army is killing innocent Kashmiri people in the territory under the guise of so-called democracy. He stated that the world should know that India is not a democracy but a savage state which has occupied Jammu and Kashmir through 900,000 invading terrorist troops and paramilitary personnel. »

Srinagar, January 23 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops have intensified checking and frisking in Srinagar city and other parts of the territory in the name of so-called security measures ahead of India’s Republic Day, the 26th January.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian troops and police personnel have been deployed in strength to keep a watch on the movement of people. The forces’ personnel have set up check points on every road and chowk where commuters and pedestrians are being frisked and vehicles are checked thoroughly. »

Srinagar, January 23 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) has filed a writ petition before the Indian Supreme Court seeking restoration of 4G mobile internet services in the territory.

The Association said that the restriction on the high-speed internet has severely impacted the quality of education for hundreds of thousands of students in the territory.

Students have been suffering since 5th August 2019 due to prolonged school closures which were first imposed in the aftermath of military siege by the authorities after repeal of Kashmir’s special status and then extended on account of the COVID-19 pandemic. »
