Srinagar January 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has said that January 26, the Indian Republic Day, will be observed as Black Day on Tuesday.

The APHC through posters displaced at various places in the valley said that the oppressed people of Kashmir, by observing January 26 as Black Day, want to tell the world that India’s Republic Day is in fact a blot on the face of its democracy and secularism.

The posters urged the people to observe complete strike on January 26 to protest against India’s illegal occupation and state terrorism so that India’s so-called democracy and ugly face could be exposed to the world. »

Srinagar, January 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference and Jammu and Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi have said that India has no right to celebrate its Republican Day as it has converted the entire Jammu and Kashmir a military garrison.

The JKMC Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Dar and Mahaz-e-Azadi Chairman, Muhammad Iqbal Mir in their separate statements in Srinagar appealed to Kashmiri people to observe 26th January as a Black Day and boycott all Indian official celebrations. »

Washington, January 24 (KMS): Kashmiri origin woman Sameera Fazili, who is the part of the team of newly elected US President, Joe Biden, has a connection with the Kashmiris’ ongoing Self-Determination struggle.

Sameera Fazili is a cousin of Mubeen Shah, who along with thousand others was detained under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir after India scrapped the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

Mubeen Shah’s mother and Fazili’s father are siblings and the family had tapped into their Washington and Delhi connections to help secure his release, media reports said. »

UNITED NATIONS, January 24 (KMS): Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Munir Akram, has briefed the President of the UN Security Council, Tarek Ladeb of Tunisia, on the grave situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and the continuing human rights violations by Indian forces, notably the illegal detention and trial of Kashmiri political leaders .

The meeting took place soon after India began its 2-year term on the 15-nation Council as a non-permanent member. »

Srinagar, January 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has said that India has no justification to celebrate its Republic Day as its occupational forces are engaged in trampling basic rights of the Kashmiri people.

The DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar, condemning India’s illegal and forcible control over the territory, said, “Notwithstanding their commitments of holding a free, fair and impartial plebiscite to let the people of Kashmir to decide their political fate, the Indian rulers resorted to brute force and with its military might are desperate to silence the voices of dissent in the territory.” »

Srinagar, January 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Srinagar-Jammu Highway has seen over 8,000 road accidents and 1,750 resultant fatalities in the last one decade.

As per the data compiled by Traffic Police Department and District Police, Ramban, the highway has seen 8,128 road accidents resulting into 1,750 deaths and injuries to 12,131 persons between 2010 and 2020. The treacherous stretch of the highway from Banihal to Chanderkote alone has seen 858 deaths in the accidents. »
